During the weight loss phase, with your doctor’s consent and under his or her supervision, you’ll eat Dr. Siegal’s COOKIE DIET® hunger-controlling cookies and shakes during the day and a reasonable dinner at night. It’s that simple.

The Dr. Siegal’s COOKIE DIET® suggested daily caloric intake is 1,000 calories but your doctor may raise or lower the amount based on your medical history. (Always follow your doctor’s instructions). On 1,000 calories a day (or even 1,200), everybody loses weight. Therefore, your success is guaranteed if you follow the plan.

STEP 1: Take Dr. Siegal’s® 28-Day Calorie Burn Rate Self-Test

This simple at-home self-test helps you estimate how many calories you need to maintain your weight. Once you know your daily caloric maintenance level you’ll be able to set an attainable weight loss goal. Best of all, you’ll start losing weight on the very first day and will continue to do so throughout the 28 days. On the 28th day you’ll enter the results of the test into the Dr. Siegal’s® Calorie Burn Rate Calculator and instantly estimate how many calories you need to maintain your weight.

STEP 2: Use Dr. Siegal’s® Weight Loss Calculators to Set Your Goal

After completing Dr. Siegal’s® 28-Day Calorie Burn Rate Self-Test, you’ll enter the results into the Dr. Siegal’s® Calorie Burn Rate Calculator. Then you'll use one of two Dr. Siegal’s® weight loss goal calculators to set a realistic goal weight and goal date.

This calculator will estimate how many calories you need each day to maintain your weight. Armed with this data, you’ll then use one of two Dr. Siegal’s® weight loss goal calculators to set an attainable weight loss goal.
 
Dr. Siegal’s® Fixed Calorie and Weight-By-Date Calculators
There are two calculators that you can use to set your goal weight and goal date. One estimates how long it will take to reach your goal weight if you eat a pre-determined number of calories every day. The other estimates how many calories you’d have to eat each day to reach your goal weight by a pre-determined date (such as a vacation, wedding, or high school reunion).

Before you can begin STEP 1 (taking Dr. Siegal’s® 28-Day Calorie Burn Rate Self-Test) you’ll need cookies, shake mixes, or both. If possible, purchase a one month supply (i.e. four Weekly Boxes) so that you don't run out before the first 28 days have elapsed.
