I have been on the cookie diet for 4 weeks. i eat 9 cookies in one day in 2 hour intervals. for my dinner i have either fish, chicken fillet or a piece of lean meat with a generous serving of vegies or a garden salad. before trying the cookies i loved to snack on chocolates, potato chips and after dinner choc chip icecream was my favourite, but in the last 4 weeks instead of having icecream i eat a cookie and the cookie which i did not believe at first would work but has suppressed my appetite and has successfully stopped my cravings for sweets. my favourite flavour of cookie is the pancake maple which you have to try first it's yummy! i recommend dr siegal's cookies to any one who wants to lose weight and that has tried other diets and failed! i have lost 7.5kg and 13.5cms off my waist line in 4 weeks and i am so happy and proud of myself. i have tried many diets before and gave up but with the cookie diet i did see results in the first week and i have not looked back and i am continuing to see more weight loss and i hope to reach my goal weight in the next few months. i would like to thank dr seigal for makingthese amazing cookies since i have lost my 7.5kg i have been more motivated to do exercise and my self esteem has risen. who ever tries the cookie diet i wish them all the success, good luck, have fun and what ever happens don't give up.

in the past two years i became disabled and basically inactive. i have also gained 10 lbs from this inactivity. i have been trying to lose the weight for the past 7 months to no avail. when i told my husband i was going to do the cookie diet, he laughed and said that it was perfect since i have a gigantic sweet tooth.i started out at 119 lbs 2 1/2 wees ago, the most i've ever weighed except pregnancy. i take the weekends off the diet because its impossible to diet when my family is eating pancakes, french toast, ice cream, and pasta. Here is the best part, i have lost 5 pounds already and it is easier than i thought. i do get really hungry some days but other days i cant finish the bag. if you like sweets or you hate counting calories and carbs, this is the no brainer diet you should immediately do. i am going to buy 2 more weeks and that should get me to my favorite bikini weight. from now on, so i don't put the weight back on, i am going to go with a 1,100 calorie diet, which will help me retain the loss. i am little, so more than 1400 calories a day will just put the weight back on. i know how to eat right, i was just depressed from my disability. now i see a bright future and i can finally fit into my skinny jeans. go for it, if you have doubt, just try one week. thank you for making a easy diet that i can whole heartily follow.

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Congratulations on your success, Dee Dee. You've discovered that one of the many benefits of losing weight is that it often makes you feel better about yourself and your future and that, in turn, causes behavioral changes that positively affect many aspects of your life.

Hi. I started the 10X plan on 2/13/12. I lost 6 pounds the first week and as of today 2/26, I am down 10 pounds. I love the simplicity of this diet, eat your cookies and a frozen dinner, no weighing, no measuring and great results! Will update on my progress again.

I received my 1 month supply order of the 10x cookies and I have to say that they are delicious! I started the diet yesterday and decided to weigh myself this morning and I couldn't beleive that I lost 3 pounds! I used the classic cookies for 1 month and lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks and I'm hoping to have the same results.

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm glad you like my new cookies, Adi, and that you're off to a good start. However, don't set yourself up for disappointment by having unrealistic expectations. One's weight can fluctuate by a few pounds from day to day but that's not an accurate indication of fat loss. I encourage people to weigh themselves once a week to get a true idea of their progress.

I tried Medifast for awhile and lost 20 pounds, but I could no longer stand the taste of the soups, etc. Retch! But I've lost 15 on these cookies and I love the simplicity and effectiveness. I just ordered more. I'm very, very happy with this diet.

I've been on the diet 10 weeks now, and have lost 22.4 pounds. So I'm doing very well, I think. I'm very happy with my results, and plan to stay the course! My weight loss has finally evened out to about 2 pounds per week, which is very acceptable. And on those weeks where it kicks up to 3 or 3.5 lbs, so much the better! Thank you again, Dr. Siegal!

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Julie. Your expectations are realistic and that's an important element in successful weight loss. Keep us posted!

OK, just checking back to let you know that since I was on TV here in May about my 100-pound weight loss I have lost an additional 18 pounds still using the cookies. I have added some additional calories from when I was on the diet, but am able to maintain my goal weight by using the cookies for my breakfast and lunch. Also, my heart doctor took me off my cholesterol meds as my bad cholesterol dropped from 220 to 139. He reduced my a-fib medicine strength because my heart rate has dropped into the 50s (with exercise). My waist is now a 36 (down from a 48-50). Thanks again Dr. Siegal for a plan that really worked for me.

I have been on the cookie diet since Thursday, September 22, 2011. My starting weight was 264.2. Yesterday was hard because it was my day off and I ate more, however what I ate was healthy and I kept up with my calories and I ended up with 1550 calories. This morning I stepped on the scales and weighed 258.4. The workdays are so much easier to not think about eating anything other than the cookies because I stay busy. Once your mindset is on what you need to do or should I say NOT EAT, it's easier to fight through those hunger pangs. I take weight loss one day at a time, and today I am on task. Will keep you posted on my progress and thank you Dr. Siegal for an easy program to follow.

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I had to smile when I read your post, Denise. You discovered, and expressed well, something I discovered decades ago after treating thousands of patients: that it's a lot easier to restrict your calories during the day when you're at work or otherwise busy. On Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet, I encourage people to use the cookies to control hunger during the day and save their "real meal" for dinner when hunger is likely to be greatest. That approach has worked well for generations of my patients and I'm delighted that it's working for you.

I just finished my first month, and finished up with a loss of 10.6 pounds, which is very satifying. However, I do have a question. My first week was 6.4 pounds, which I understand was unusual. My second week was only .4 pounds, which I didn't understand. My third week was my better at 4.4 pounds, and this last week, I actually gained .6 pounds! Which was a little frustrating. Especially frustrating because I've been very careful to follow the 1000-1200 diet plan very carefully. What do you suppose the reason is for the up and down weight loss week by week? Not that I'm giving up, by any means. I would appreciate some advice, though. Thanks, Julie.
Julie, Plattsburg, MO, United States, September 24 2011
DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Your question is one of the most common ones I've heard from my patients over the years, Julie. My answer is always the same: don't weigh yourself so frequently! Ideally, I'd like to see people weigh themselves once a month but I doubt anyone would follow such advice. From day-to-day, everyone's weight fluctuates based on many factors including the amount of undigested food they're carrying around, water retention, and the clothes they are wearing (if not nude). Also, women in particular experience significant weight fluctuations at certain times of the month.
The bottom line is that you've lost over 10 pounds in a month. Fantastic!

I reached my goal in august of 2010 and I am still at my goal weight. I still enjoy the cookies for breakfast and if I travel they are always with me. I exersize 5 to 6 days a week, and have never felt better. My total weight loss was 60 lbs.
