I tried every diet there is before I became a patient of Dr. Siegal's in his Davie office. The cookies did a good job of keeping me from being too hungry. I ate a reasonable dinner at night and now I'm 65 lbs. lighter. A couple of months ago I was invited to Jacksonville to be on a news show with Dr. Siegal. It was great fun.
Carol, Margate, FL, US, December 12 2008

Before After
Before After

I have tried Nutrisystem, the cabbage diet, Acai pills, Slim Quick, Alli...and the list goes on and on. NONE of those plans worked well for me. I was always still hungry. Since I started it has remained the EASIEST plan I have ever done. I am never hungry and I look forward to eating the cookies. I have lost a total of 11 lbs in the first month!!! I couldn't be more pleased. If you are on the fence with this, please try it. You won't be sorry! Happy eating!!
CJ, Killeen, TX, United States, September 08 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm glad that you're off to a good start, CJ. The thing to remember about losing or maintaining weight is that it all comes down to your daily caloric intake. Of course, you can't follow a reduced-calorie diet if you're hungry. That's the principal behind Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet.

I am 5'3" and was 173 lbs when I started the cookie diet on 08/24. 7 days later I was 166.5. I have lost a total of 6.5 lbs. thus far. My goal is to reach 130 lbs. The first day of the diet was hardest for me. I found out that eating a cookie every 2 hours is working for me. I am not hungry and I look forward to eating the cookie. I will keep you guys posted with my results.
Pat, Reed Point, MT, United States, September 02 2010

I have been on the Dr. Siegal Cookie Diet since 4/19/10 and this morning I weighed in at 204 lbs. I have officially lost 76 lbs and I am 24 lbs away from my new goal of 180. Thanks again Dr. Siegal.
Benny, Onalaska, WI, United States, August 30 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're in the home stretch, Benny!

In 4 days I lost 7.5 Lbs, I received Levis Jeans in the mail on Mon, They wouldn't fit. On Sat They fit. This is the only Diet I ever do again.
Allen, Thompson, IA, United States, August 29 2010

I'm a male 41 yrs old threes ago i was 233.5 lbs, now I'm 214 lbs. I have lost 19.5 lbs. I'm so happy ! I even have energy to join a gym. My goal is 185 lbs.
Alex, Carmel, NY, United States, August 25 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Congratulations! You're so close, Alex. Keep going. You're within 8 weeks of your goal!

I just finished my first week on the cookie diet and I lost 4.7lbs. I could not believe my eyes when I stepped on the scale! This is an awesome product! I eat one cookie at a time and I can usually go 2 hours without being hungry! I am amazed and very happy with the results. I will post my results weekly, I have at least 50 lbs to lose. Thanks Dr. Siegal!
Caroline, Punta Gorda, FL, United States, August 14 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Caroline. I look forward to your future status reports!

Have been reading lots of Fan Mail for the last few days and have decided that I can do this. Today, 8/11/2010 is day one. Starting weight is 290 lbs. I am a 51 yrs old female. My weight loss goal is 130 lbs. Hope to have good news within the next few weeks!
Angee, Lubbock, TX, United States, August 11 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Angee, there's no question you can do it if you do it right. "Right" includes having your family doctor supervise your weight loss. In my experience, people who diet under medical supervision have better results. Additionally, make sure that you have reasonable expectations. If your doctor recommends a diet of 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day and you comply, you should lose around 10 pounds a month. Keep us posted on your progress!

I have lost 20 pounds since I started the cookie diet. I am the daughter of Dr. Ferdie Maupai's that used to work for you in Miami. How funny that I am trying your diet now!!
Nanette, Houston, TX, United States, August 10 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Yes, I remember your father well. And now you're all grown up! How quickly a couple of decades have flown by! I'm glad you're doing well, Nanette.

This is the first diet I've been on (and I've been on a lot of them!) where I can honestly say I wasn't hungry and I did not have to workout! It was so easy to change my eating habits once I added these cookies to my diet. I lost 17 pounds in just a few weeks. I hit a couple of plateaus, but stuck with it and the weight just kept coming off. And, I LOVE THE COOKIES!!! I think they are DELICIOUS!!! Not super sweet, but very tasty! THANK-YOU, Dr. Siegal!!!
Lisa, Cheshire, MA, United States, August 10 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Lisa. I'm glad the weight has come off. To keep it off, I'm a big fan of exercise.

Still enjoying my weight loss ride. I have been on the Dr. Siegal Cookie Diet since 4/19/10 and this morning I weighed in at 216 lbs. I am down 64 lbs and I'm 26 lbs. away from my goal weight. Good luck to my fellow cookie dieters and for anyone not sure if they want to start this diet, take it from me it will be the best decision of your life!
Benny, Onalaska, WI, United States, August 09 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: For months I've enjoyed reading your progress reports here, Benny. As you know, I'm frequently invited to appear on TV shows with our "success stories." If you'd like to join me on a talk show some time, please let us know.

I started the diet on November 1, 2009. At that time I weighed 259lbs. Today, August 4, 2010 I weighed in at 169. That's 90lbs. I went from size 44inch pants to 34. I think the diet is amazing, and easy to stick to. But of course, I love cookies. That's what got me to 259lbs. in the first place.
Joe, Los Angeles, CA, United States, August 04 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's a terrific achievement, Joe! Congratulations!

I started the diet in January 2010. I weighed 298 pounds when I started the diet. I continued the diet for six months and lost 88 pounds. I have tried several other different weight loss diets but none have worked. The “cookie diet” has turned my life around.
Mark, Frisco, TX, United States, August 02 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Terrific job, Mark! You've lost 1/3 of your weight and I know from treating hundreds of thousands of overweight patients how much better you feel now. Enjoy the extra energy, the new clothes, and the compliments from your friends!

I've just completed my first 28 days and lost only 12.5lbs. Given that I'm 55, 5'1" and in menopause, I suspect this is pretty good. I'm not hungry on the plan and know I can stick this out six months to reach my goal of 125lbs.
Tzipora, Mount Holly, NJ, United States, August 01 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: "Only" 12.5 pounds in a month??? That rate of weight loss is fantastic. In fact, it's near the maximum rate possible. A person can only lose about a half pound of fat per day.

I heard about the Dr. Siegal's cookie diet while surfing on the net for diets. I weighed 224lbs and just could not stop eating. I tried the cookie diet and three weeks later I am down to 203, and I am not hungry!!! This has been great and I hope to drop another 20lbs.
John, Raeford, NC, United States, July 30 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great job, John!

I am 140 pounds and 5 feet 3 inches and have tried all kinds of diet so far to loose 10-15 pounds but no luck so far. My question to Dr. Siegal is: Do you think I will loose 10-15 pounds on cookie diet??
Hamsar, Tampa, FL, United States, July 28 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: It's a certainty, Hamsar. When you follow a diet of 1,000 to 1,200 calories per day, you lose weight. It's simply impossible to maintain your weight at that caloric level.

I am still rolling! I have been on the Dr. Siegal Cookie Diet since 4/19/10 and this morning I weighed in at 223 lbs. I am down 57 lbs and I'm 33 lbs. away from my goal weight. Looking forward to hitting my 2nd benchmark - 220 lbs. so I can forward you guys another set of before/after photos. Hopefully, this week! Hope everyone else is seeing results as well. Life is becoming more enjoyable every day.
Benny, Onalaska, WI, United States, July 26 2010

I watched a segment on gma about DR. Siegal and thought if marty can do it so can I. I started the cookie diet on december 2nd weighing 195 pounds and have surpassed my goal of losing 50 pounds. as of july 15 I weight 137 pounds for a total of 58 pounds lost. I am so delighted with the amount of energy that I now have, I started running for the first time in my life and was able to run a 4 mile race with my daughter on mothers day in centeral park N.Y. We finished and in record time. O by the way I will be 57 next month, thank you doctor siegal you have helped me to take control of my life.
Claire, Lebanon, PA, United States, July 22 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: My pleasure, Claire! And thank you for sharing your story; it's truly motivational!

THANK YOU DR. SIEGAL! I have been telling doctors for 30 years that my thyroid is not right! I had all the symptoms including not being able to have children. My blood work looked OK so they would not do anything. My weight has been a yo-yo the entire time ranging from 139-280! Your book and diet are saving my life. I have lost 35 pounds in 7 weeks. Finally, you have proven that I am not crazy...I am not cheating...I just needed a medication change. Thank you, thank you! I love your diet and your cookies too!!
Diana, Norton, KS, United States, July 20 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Diana. I'm glad you took the time to read the book, and that it was so helpful!

Just to let you know that the Cookie Diet helped me accomplish exactly the weight loss I wanted and in the EXACT time frame you projected. I am so impressed and grateful. I am now trying to continue losing another 10 lbs. on my own and if not successful, will go back to the cookies. Thank you!!
Sheila, Tallahassee, FL, United States, July 20 2010

I am writing on the 4th of July to tell you my personal indedepence story. Since starting on the cookie diet six months ago, I have lost 60 lbs and won my freedom from daily, horrible heartburn, and nightly snoring! I no longer have to take daily medication for heartburn! I no longer bother my husband with snoring! I no longer get short of breath going up stairs! My knees don't hurt as much! I have more energy! I feel GREAT! I am two-thirds of the way to my goal of a 90 lb loss, and feel confident I will get there by the end of September. On this 4th of July, I am enjoying the freedom that our forefathers and military men and women have given me, and a new kind of freedom that Dr. Siegal has given me. Thank you all!
Chris, Hale, MI, United States, July 04 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Chris, I don't think that any note I've received from a customer has made me smile so much. Congratulations on your success; you should be proud of your achievement!

Dr. Siegal's I started the cookie diet 5-23-2010 31 days ago and have lost 21 pounds to date. This is the first time I have been successful with any weight lost diet. I started at 370 pounds and have set a goal of 180 pounds in one year. I feel that I can do it with this diet. I am not saying that the diet is easy. I still get hungry for something else every time I pass a restaurant. But I feel that with the weight loss I have seen so far on your program I can do it. Thanks
Jeffrey, Navarre, OH, United States, June 22 2010

I am in love with the cookies... it is a magic product I have taken it for a month now and lost 10 kg. and I am active, no issues at all, I would recommend the cookies for everyone I know.
Mino, Dubai, U.A.E., June 22 2010

I've been on the diet for one week and adjusted well to the new food format. Do you have any special advice for me when I attend events or banquets with fixed menus, eat reasonable but sparingly, and then return to the cookie diet? Thanks!
Jeffrey, Newport Beach, CA, United States, June 21 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's a common question, Jeffery, especially from people in the entertainment industry who must attend social events frequently. Tip One: Eat a cookie 30 minutes before such an event so that you aren't hungry when presented with all that delicious (fat) food. Tip Two: When the event is over, get "back on the horse" and resume your six-cookies-a-day diet.

Haave been on the diet for 30 days and lost 20 lbs. Terrific. Almost effortless.
Marvin, Jacksonville Beach, FL, United States, June 19 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: No question about it, Marvin. When hunger is kept in check, sticking to a reduced-calorie diet is a whole lot easier.

I started Dr. Siegal's cookie diet 31 days ago and have lost 21 pounds to date. This is the first time I have been successful with any weight loss program without feeling starved or exercising 2 hours each day, 5-6 days/week. I have PCOS and have been struggling with my weight for quite some time now. I was a little fatigued the first week but now I seem to have so much more energy. I actually believe I can do this now.
Susan, Towaco, NJ, United States, June 16 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: There's no question you can do it; you're well on your way. Great start, Susan!

I have been on the Dr. Siegal Cookie Diet since 4/19/10 and I'm currently down 40 lbs as I weighed in this morning at 240 lbs. I am 50 lbs from reaching my overall goal of 190 lbs. What's great is that I don't feel "burned out". This is the first diet I have ever been on where I wasn't bored with it this far into it.
Benny, Onalaska, WI, United States, June 14 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're almost there, Benny. Now, don't make the mistake so many people make when they reach your stage of their diet: becoming complacent. I'm sure you look and feel much better after dropping 40 pounds, but don't use that as an excuse to "take a break." Keep going until you reach your goal and you'll be much more likely to keep it off long term.

My wife and I have finally decided to try your famous diet. Just for us to decide on a diet and start it is very huge for us, we are very excited. I know this is your fan mail section but I had a few questions and I wasn't sure where to post it. I have read some responses that you posted to other customers, saying that exercise is a good way to maintain your new weight, but not good while dieting because it could cause your calorie intake to fall to low, did I understand that right? Also, if I wanted to do some sit ups everyday, and some bicep curls and bench presses every other day (nothing big) would that be to much of a exercise? and it would it counter act my diet? I weight about 265 and have so for several months now. We are taking our children to disney world in november and my goal weight is 200-210.
Joshua, Queen Creek, AZ, United States, June 04 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You've taken the first step, Joshua, and that IS huge indeed! Moderate exercise during the weight-loss phase is great but too much can cause you to misjudge your true daily caloric intake. For weight maintenance, vigorous daily exercise is my preferred approach. Be sure to consult your doctor to make sure that you're a candidate for exercise. Let us know when you reach your goal and, of course, have a great time at Disney World.

I wrote to you when, at day 50, I had lost 21 pounds. Day 100 just passed & I have lost 32 pounds. I won $300 in the "Biggest Loser" contest at work. I have been going through boxes of clothes I had stored after I gained 100 pounds in order to find clothes that fit and have donated my "fat" clothes to charity. I have 40 pounds to go and with your cookies, I should achieve that goal by Fall. It is possible to actually predict a goal-date (month) because the weight loss is predictable! I have had a hypoactive thyroid for 20 years and have been on medication. The dosage has not changed in 10 years. I went to my doctor's recently and she was so surprised at my rapid weight loss (even though it's a healthy rate), that she insisted on doing a thyroid function blood test. Even though the results were within nornal range, she decreased my dosage by a slight amount because rapid weight loss can be attributed to a hyperactive thyroid (or too high dosage of thyroid medication). I was dumbfounded. Needless to say, I have a new doctor. I know you address doctors in a chapter in your book, but I am a firm believer that we have to educate ourselves, if only to make sense of our doctors' advice and decisions. It's MY body, afterall. Thanks SO much for your dedication to weight loss and also the "losers".
Deb, Arvada, CO, United States, May 30 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Deb, you are the ideal candidate for successful weight loss. Besides your enthusiasm, you have a wise approach to your relationship with your doctors. You obviously appreciate that they aren't always right and that it's your responsibility to ask questions if you don't understand their advice. Let us know when you reach your goal!

Without a doubt, the easiest diet that I have ever been involved in. I lost 25 pounds in just under a month, going from 199 to 174 easily. The best part is that I am not hungry and I still enjoy the cookies. I am in sales so I spend most of my days in and out of my car, so it's very easy to bring a bag of cookies and some bottled water every day. Thanks Doc!!!
Tony, N. Babylon, NY, United States, May 28 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Tony! Your enthusiasm will surely inspire others to succeed as have you.

Well, after listening and reading all I could about this cookie diet, I finally bought my first box today. I am 5'5 and 220, and would like to lose at least 50 lbs. I take a lot of meds and I have problems with thyroid, but the testimonies have all been uplifting and encouraging. I will keep you posted.
Lucille, Bridgton, ME, United States, May 18 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: As you know, impaired thyroid function makes losing weight harder. However, if you see your doctor regularly and follow his advice, you can still reach a healthful weight. In my book, Is Your Thyroid Making You Fat?, there's a chapter intended for your doctor to read. Consider giving him a copy; it may help.

i started Dr Siegal cookie diet on 9 May and i lost 8.8 pounds !!! yes and despite that i am hypothyroid.
Mino, Duabi, U.A.E., May 17 2010

I have been on the Dr. Siegal Cookie Diet since 4/19/10 and I'm currently down 22 lbs. I am 8 lbs away from reaching my first benchmark - 30 lbs. I am 68 lbs from reaching my overall goal of 190 lbs.
Bennny, Onalaska, WI, United States, May 06 2010

I started the Dr Siegal cookie diet on Jan.3 2010 to date I have lost 55lbs. I started at 210lbs my weight now is 155lbs.I went on a cruise on Feb.1 2010 and went off the diet. The only problem I have had with the diet is the fact that I have had to buy all new clothes.
David, Norfolk, VA, United States, April 27 2010

MATTHEW SIEGAL (CEO) REPLIES: I've been through that myself, David. I lost 47 pounds a number of years ago and had to replace my wardrobe. Small price to pay to be thin!

I have been on the cookie diet now for a week and I have lost 8 pounds so far.The cookie diet is really working for me. And I like the ideas about what you can have for your dinner 500 to 700 calories every night. My goal is to lose about 50 pounds. So far so good.
Lenora, Salt Lake City, UT, United States, April 26 2010

I only have that last 10-15 lbs to lose, so my motivation is very easily compromised by my hunger. However, I feel as if I have gone to Heaven! My big weakness is Cookies. I just can BELIEVE how well these curb my appetite...and without any dangerous drugs or stimulants. I purchased from Wal Green's because I doubted that they would realy work. Now I am going to order from your website. These cookies will not only help me loose the weight, but also to keep it off. THANK YOU DR. SIEGAL!
Janet, Pittsburgh, PA, United States, April 26 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Janet. As you've discovered, once you get past its gimmicky name, you discover that Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet is a sensible approach that works.

At first when I heard the cookie diet advertisement, I was skeptical thinking, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." Then I thought, when I am going to get the advice of a doctor who has made a life of helping people with weight loss? Dr. Siegal, rest assured you have accomplished an amazing feat. Your product tastes good and makes me feel good. I hired a trainer last year at $400 for 5 sessions. It was costly and I spent so much time planning, shopping and preparing my food that I didn't see my family for the entire run. I was constipated because of all the protein I was consuming and protein bars messed with my gastrointestinal system. Neither of these problems has presented themselves with your cookies. Ultimately, I was successful, but between a promotion to a more stressful job and Christmas 2009, I regrettably reversed my progress. Because you already concerned yourself with all the details of the ingredients, I don't have to. Just wanted to say thanks. I am looking forward to incorporating your cookies into my life in the long and short run. I am so thankful for your product. Just a thought, not a complaint, it would be nice if there were a way to sample all the flavors before committing to a week of them. I tried the oatmeal raisin and they are great, but I am afraid to spend my money on a week of the other flavors, when I know I like the oatmeal. I will check in down the road a bit. Thanks again!
Pam, Georgetown, PA, United States, April 25 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful message, Pam. I'm just wrapping up a grueling sixteen hour day and your message has reminded me of why I still work as much as I do.

I tried every imaginable diet on this planet; but I hesitated for quite some time because your cookie diet is much more expensive than the Hollywood and R&D (which, by the way I could hardly gag down). This is by far the only thing that's worked for me! I'm never hungry but more importantly, I feel absolutely WONDERFUL! I now have the tools I need to lose 80 lbs.! All I can say to those out there who hesitate because of the price, don't!!! I was going to try Nutrisystem for the upteenth time, because, due to the nature of my job, can't cook and fidget around with containers from home, saw a box at Walgreens for $10 off! Boy, 3 days later I ran down to get another box! My next time around I'm ordering a month-full.
Michele, Akron, OH, United States, April 25 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Whenever you're successful, there will always be those who try to capitalize on that success. As you've discovered, knockoff "cookie diets" come and go while the original just gets more popular with each passing year. Why? Because, as you discovered, it works.

Week #1 - down 5 pounds. Week #2 - down 4 more pounds.
Lara, Little Rock, AR, United States, April 23 2010

Dr. Siegal's cookie diet was a wonderful way to jump start me to get back in shape for the spring and summer - I lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks. After my sister telling me about the diet for years, I am very glad to say it worked me. Thanks for the great cookies and easy instructions.
Frank, Denver, CO, United States, April 22 2010

I have lost 41.5 lbs in 16 weeks, double the amount a coworker has lost in the same amount of time on a different diet. Recent bloodwork revealed that my high cholesterol level has plummeted to a low one. My doctor was thrilled and said if I keep up the good work, he will take me off my cholesterol medicine in six months! This diet is very forgiving, as I have cheated a few times and still lost fast. I have not yet started exercising (plan to do that at some point). The cookies fit my lifestyle so perfectly, being fast and easy and portable. They have helped me, a food obssessed person, to stop thinking about food - no worry about what I'll eat at work or away from home, no time-consuming preparation and lugging an insulated lunch bag everywhere like I used to do. It is very freeing! I hesitated about starting this diet for two months before I actually ordered cookies because of the expense, but they are more than worth it!
Chris, Hale, MI, United States, April 21 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Sounds like you're doing everything right, Chris. I'm delighted that you've included your doctor in the process.

I bought my first GNC franchise when I was just 22 years old. Now 34, I have seen diet products come and go over the years. Last April on Fox news, a story broke about Dr Siegal's Cookie diet in Tampa, Florida. Suddenly people were coming into my 6 GNC stores looking for it. I was reluctant to carry the "newest fad" thinking it would quickly fade away. However, the demand was so great, and then I found out that Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet had been around since 1975 (the year I was born). So I decided to carry it in my stores. I have learned over the past year why these cookies have been successful for 35 years: THEY WORK! In the past year I have had hundreds of customers lose weight. Stimulant free and healthy the cookies can be used safely by any customer. I admit I was wrong. Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet is definitely NOT a fad. It works for anyone!
Hagen, Sarasota , FL, United States, April 20 2010

I started this diet four days ago and I am already down 6.5 pounds. I love the taste of the cookies, especially the chocolate and oatmeal raisin. Thank You Dr.Siegal for an amazing weight loss product!!
Melissa, Painesville, OH, United States, April 17 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Melissa. Your enthusiasm will help keep you motivated. However, I don't want you to have false expectations. While you may have lost 6.5 pounds of weight in four days, it wasn't all fat. Some of that was probably fluid. Other factors can contribute to fluctuations in weight, too. On 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day, you can expect to lose about 10 to 12 pounds of fat every month. If you know what to expect, you'll be more likely to reach your goal.

I am a physician in Dallas, Texas. I was a patient of Dr. Siegal in Miami in the late 90s. At that time I weighed 240 lbs and the cookie diet worked well, dropping me down to about 180 lbs, my perfect weight. Over the past 10-15 years I have gained a tremendous amount of weight. At my highest weight back in late December 2009 I was 365 lbs. I made a decision to change my life, and hopefully save it. I started the cookie diet about 3 1/2 months ago, and today I weigh 309 lbs. My goal is 200 lbs, so that would be a loss of 165 lbs. I am a strong believer in Dr. Siegal and his method, and I am confident that I will be able to reach my goal. The cookies are especially good when warmed up in the microwave for a few seconds. I hope Dr. Siegal knows that he should be proud that he has helped and saved many lives over the years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Nick, Dallas, TX, United States, April 11 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're certainly welcome, doctor! And thank you for sharing your story. As a fellow physician, you know that our patients and others tend to look to us as role models. Documenting your progress here will undoubtedly inspire others.

I just did this diet for the 28 days! I lost the 10lbs. I can't wait to start the next month so that I can lose 10 more pounds to get back to the weight that I was before I had my children. I work out on the road and finding food that is served in small portions is impossible! These cookies are just enough to keep me satisfied until I get home! They taste pretty good (not sweet) just the way I like it! Talk to you in another 28 days! Thanks!
Marlo, Eastchester, NY, United States, April 10 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great start, Marlo! Sounds like you're on track to reach your goal. By the way, as a "road warrior" myself, I know how hard it can be to eat right when you're travelling. You've been successful despite that obstacle and I commend you for it.

I tried this and lost a ton of weight but then i gained it all back in only a week, 2 days after I weighed 310 I originally weighed 278
Shares, Oak Harbor, AZ, United States, April 09 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: My friend, either you're pulling our legs here or your scale is astoundingly inaccurate. I'm being serious. If the numbers you have provided are real, then the only explanation for them is a defective scale. It is virtually impossible for any human to gain 32 pounds in one week! To do so, assuming your maintenance level is 2,000 calories, you'd have to consume approximately 18,000 calories every day! You say that you lost "a ton" of weight but of course that's an exaggeration. In reality, someone who follows a diet of 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day typically loses about 10 pounds a month. As for gaining back the weight once you stop your diet, that only happens if you return to your old habits. One thing's for sure: the diet you followed to lose weight has no bearing on whether or not you'll gain it back. That's determined solely by whether you go back to taking in more calories than you burn up. Period.

As a followup...I started this diet on 10/23/09 and have now been able to sustain a loss of 30-35 lbs (it fluctuates based on whether I exercise and what I have for supper.) This morning it was at 34 lbs down. I only have 5-6 more to go for my new goal. Up through January, I was eating only 3 cookies a day, but now I have added 1 for the day and eat 4 throughout the day, but have also added more protein at my lunch time - when I eat a handful of mixed nuts and raisins. This seems to give my mouth some "crunch" that it misses as well as providing me with more protein to satisfy my hunger until supper. I still exercise regularly, and have found that with my newly smaller self, I can actually jog/run some now during my 3.5 to 4 mile walks. This has upped my weight loss even more by utilizing "interval" exercising. My favorite cookies are the blueberry, with chocolate being a close 2nd! Thanks again Dr. Siegal for a great product! I am so glad I tried it!
Roxanne, Paris, TN, United States, April 09 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: While I can't suggest that others deviate from the suggested use of the cookies as you have done, I'm delighted you've had such success. In my experience, people who create alternative methods of following Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet are less successful. You're clearly an exception to the rule!

I started the diet three weeks ago, after 10 years of lo-carbing, and i lost 5 pounds in the first 6 days. I realize that was probably some water weight, so I haven't weighed myself since. I have, however, measured myself, and I have lost 1 inch in each thigh, and 1 inch in my hips, and 1 inch in my waist. I have been excercising for 20 minutes a day. I will continue the cookie diet, becasue it helps me choose low fat, low sugar and low calorie healthy food. Thank you Dr. Siegal.
Maryjane, Jacksonville, FL, United States, April 08 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Maryjane. And you're correct. If you lost 5 pounds in 6 days, some of that weight was water. Still, shedding up to a half pound a day of fat is not uncommon on a diet of 1,000 or so calories. Sounds like you're off to a great start.

This is day 50. I have lost 21.5 pounds, going from 233.2 to 213. It took me all of last year to lose the first 20. This is a LOT better, a LOT less stressful & a LOT faster, all o f which, make me a LOT happier. I love being able to diet effectively without being constantly overwhelmed by hunger. I first heard about Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet on The Joy Fit Club. I researched the product on the Internet, checked out & read Dr Siegal's book from the library, went to GNC for my first purchase & have been ecstatic ever since! I eat the cookies during the day (easy, no planning, no prep, no work). Then I eat a 500 calorie dinner. This part was difficult at first (& still is at times), because I tend to eat too large of portions. I'm learning. I also walk 2-3 miles 5 days/week. It takes me about 45 minutes. This has had the added benefit of getting me away from my desk at work & out into the daylight. I am feeling SO much better. I can tie my shoes without grunting, my knees don't hurt, my clothes are fitting comfortably and I actuallly believe I can get the remaining 60 pounds off before I turn 56 in December. I can picture myself "shrinking" into some of my smaller clothes (currently packed away in boxes) by summer! I am MUCH less tied up with worrying & planning what I am going to eat. It is really exciting to step on the scale every morning & watch the number going down nearly every day. I will certainly keep you posted. Thanks!
Deb, Arvada, CO, United States, April 08 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Wonderful news, Deb. Stay the course, see your doctor regularly, and there's no question about it: that last 60 pounds will come off!

Well it's day 3 for me and I've lost 4 lbs! I still have a long road ahead but the future is looking great and I love the taste of the chocolate cookies!
Carrie, Wausau, WI, United States, April 07 2010

Over the years, I have subjected myself to many diets without great results. When I was given Dr. Siegal's book, I almost threw it on my pile of "never going to read" books. I read the first few chapters and was hooked. The history of dieting thru the ages was really interesting and the sense of humor kept me entertained thru the remainder of the book. What convinced me to try this diet was the convenience. I have no hunger, no cravings and no loss of energy. However, there is one key item I would have liked to see addressed in greater depth in the book. How do you determine what your ideal weight goal is? Yes, I have asked several doctors and I get different responses from each one. It would be interesting to get Dr. Siegal's take on that issue. Looking forward to loosing many pounds.
Sue, Potomac, MD, United States, March 31 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: In my own practice, I decide what should be each patient's goal weight. I base that number on various factors but, ultimatley, it's based on intuition developed over a fifty year medical career. There's no precise answer to the question. Your doctor and you should work together to establish your goal. One thing's for sure, though: if you're overweight, the simple answer to how much you should weigh is "less!"

I started my diet on Monday and weigh in at 191 and on Wednesday I was 188. I couldn't believe my eyes i actually weight myself three time because i couldnt believe it. IT WORK!!!!!! Try it out and the cookies are really good. Thanks!!!!!!!
Tiffara, Chula Vista, CA, United States, March 25 2010

I have been on the diet for almost 3 weeks. I started at 222. I now way 209. I'm totally shocked and amazed. I can't wait to lose the other 20 lbs
Danielle, Atlanta, GA, United States, March 17 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Don't be shocked, Danielle. There's no magic to this stuff. Those are simply the results to be expected when one follows a 1,000 to 1,200 calorie diet.

This is my second posting. I started the cookie diet on Dec. 28th, just under 11 weeks ago. I was happy and amazed to find that as of this morning I have lost 30 lbs! I have 60 more to go. I do not crave carbs, as I have on other diets, and I am not hungry. I have not gotten weak or ill, as I have on other plans; on the contrary - I feel great! And it is so easy to follow! I am so thrilled with my results so far! Thank you so much, Dr. Siegal!
Chris, Hale, MI, United States, March 13 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: My pleasure, Chris, but you've done all the work. Keep going, don't stop until you reach your goal, and, of course, be sure to have your doctor monitor you as you diet.

I started this diet on Dec. 28th and as of this morning I have lost 30 lbs! I have wavered here and there, but always get right back on track. I have 20 lbs to get to my goal, and I am certain I will do that! Thank you Dr. Siegal!
Julie, Cleveland , OH, United States, March 12 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Julie. You've done the right thing by getting back on track quickly when you've gone off your diet. If you stay the course and reach your goal I believe your chances of keeping it off long term will be much better than if you stop short of your goal.

The first week I was on this diet I only lost 1 lb. I wrote in with my concern and a rep. from the company e-mailed me back and basically told me to hang in there cause everyone is different and sometimes a lot of weight loss doesn't happen right away. She assured me that I would see results in the second week, and she was right. As of today, I have been on this diet for 4 weeks and have lost 10 lbs. I am 5'9" and started out at 162 lbs. I am now 152. I want to get down to 140, which is my ideal weight. So, I just wanted to thank your rep. for e-mailing me and giving me the boost that I needed.
Glenna, Kokomo, IN, United States, March 06 2010

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: Great news, Glenna! Keep us posted on your progress!

I've used this product for one month and am happy to say that I've lost 7 lbs. I need to loose 16 more to reach my goal. This cookie diet works for me because I don't have to worry about what I will eat for breakfast, snacks, and lunch. I look forward to eating a balanced meal for dinner. Also, starting menopause and gaining weight it has been hard loosing, but not with this plan. This was a God send for me. I walked into the health food store in town and noticed the cookies. I decided to check out the website. After reading the testimonies and seeing the results from others I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. What really inspired me also is the fact that I like eating small convenient meals during the day. These cookies don't make me crave other foods. On other weight lost plans I always end up craving the wrong foods. Not with these cookies. I eat them and am satisfied.
Pat, Hitchcock, TX, United States, March 01 2010

I had to write to help anyone else who was trying to decide if they should take the chance on yet another diet product. I am 5’6” and on 2/22/2010 I weighed 177.5 (in the am, when I always weigh myself). As of today, I am 174. And still going!!! I have been struggling with loosing my baby weight after the birth of my son. I have a 3 year old and my boy just turned one. My husband works evenings and weekends, so I rarely have time to work out. And I have a 40+ hr/wk desk job. Clearly this means I have to consume less calories in order to loose the weight. But I’m always derailed by hunger and snack attacks. That’s where the cookies were perfect. The first day was tough, but they truly do appease the hunger, and they are a ‘snack’ kind of food, so they are fun to eat. I like the way they taste (I have the chocolate and the oatmeal raisin). They are easy to eat when I’m at home running after the kids, too. I am truly pleased and excited with the results. Actually, I know I would have lost more but Saturday I attended a wine party with tons of appetizers. I tried to make healthy choices, but I’m sure the salt intake alone caused some water retention! I am on to my second week, feeling more optimism in this weight loss journey than I have felt in the last year. My pre-baby goal weight of 155 is a reality again!!! Thank you for a great product, Dr. Siegal. (ps. I'll post pictures later!)
Angela, St. Francis, MN, United States, March 01 2010

i just bought the cookies today from my local GNC store. I have a question about switching up the flavors. Can I incorporate different flavors of cookies througout the day? For instance can I have 3 chocolate and 3 oatmeal rasin and still be following the plan correctly. One more thing can I also drink a shake during the day as well. I read that a shake substitutes 2 cookies throughout the day. Sorry to be such a pest but I want to make sure I do this right so I can succeed :)
Sara, Augusta, GA, United States, February 26 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great questions, Sara. Yes, you can mix the cookie flavors throughout the day. Most people use them that way. And yes, you can substitute a shake for two cookies. For even more variety, try using diet (zero calorie) orange soda or root beer instead of water when making a vanilla shake. It's very good.

Hello! It has been 4 months today and I have lost 50 pounds! I can hardly get over my transformation! I look and feel better than I have in 10 years! Only 3 weeks to go until I see my husband. I want to thank everyone on Dr. Siegal's team for making this the least stressful thing that I do everyday! Just a word of encouragement for anyone that struggles, I believe that you can do this, you have already taken the first step! Keep trying , this is truly a blessing ! Best of Luck...
Lori, Tacoma, WA, United States, February 26 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm sure everyone who has been following your story here can't wait to hear about your husband's reaction to seeing the new you, Lori! Take pictures of the reunion!

I'm here in USA and doing the Cookie Diet for 19 days, I have lost 13 pounds!!! I'm so happy because I was having problems to lose weight because of the menopause and gaining pounds on the stop smoking... it's working wonderfuly... and no hunger and craving for sweets that I love... Exercice helps a lot... Do you have representatives in Brazil? I really want to be the person to do this!! I'm staying in Miami until March 07, so we can talk in person, if you want... best regards, Izabela
Izabela, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, February 21 2010

I am in my fifth week and I have lost over 21 pounds! This product really works for me, controlling my hunger throughout the day and keeping me on track. I have another fifty pounds to go and hopefully I will acheive this by early summer! Thanks Dr. Siegal!
Andrew, Mason, OH, United States, February 20 2010

I bought my first box of cookies today from GNC I currently weigh 275 Ilbs and I am 5'6. My goal weight is 195. I dont have any pictures because I never take full body pictures anymore. So I am going to take one and after the weight loss I will put up before and after.
Barbara, Avondale, AZ, United States, February 19 2010

This is my second posting..I'm in my 5th week of the diet, I have lost 14 pounds! This is huge for me as I have many health issues including 5 slipped discs in my back, so weight loss is extremly difficult for me. The first 2 weeks, I struggled with some hunger and energy issues, but those have resolved themselves completly. I am able to get through the day with no problem, in fact, at times I have to make myself eat enough calories to keep my metabolism working. I have so much energy throughout the day and if I do have something that I shouldn't (at a family dinner or events) I can really feel the difference from not sticking with the cookie diet regimen. I will keep you posted, so far, SOOOOO good!! Thanks!
Tracey, Cypress, CA, United States, February 18 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: What else can I say, Tracey, except "Go! Go! Go!" Great job!

I have lost 20 lbs so far and love the cookies, they are great to just grab a bag and go for the day. Question: Can I have the meal at lunch then continue with the cookies for dinner?
Bonnie, San Diego, CA, United States, February 17 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: While I'm wary about tampering with a formula that has worked so well for decades, there's no harm in giving it a try. If you find yourself too hungry by bed time (and I believe that will be the case), then go back to the suggested regimen of six cookies during the day and dinner in the evening.

I have been using the cookie diet since 1/11/10. I have lost 20.4 lbs so far. However I do have a question Dr. Siegal. There are many days that I find I only need 4 cookies. I have also had a few days when I have only needed 3. And there was one day when I only needed 2 cookies to get me to dinner. Should I make myself eat at least 4 per day, or do I need more? I am on the 1'000 calorie diet. Please advice me on this matter.
Ellen, Suitland, MD, United States, February 16 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You say you're on a 1,000 calorie diet and yet there are days when you eat fewer than 6 cookies. I, therefore, must conclude that on days when you eat fewer cookies you make up the calories at dinner. I'd rather see you eat 6 cookies a day plus a 500 calorie dinner because that approach has worked for hundreds of thousands of people and I don't like tampering with something that works so well. Ultimately, however, you should seek your doctor's opinion on this question.

My husband and I have been on the cookie diet since just after Thanksgiving. While we have sometimes slipped, we always go back because the weight loss is marvelous! I am down 30 pounds and my husband is down 35. Weight loss was greater at first but it sure is continuing! Love this approach!!!
Paula, Homer, AK, United States, February 14 2010

I lost 20 lbs in the first 6 weeks of the diet. I have been a lifetime member of Weight Watchers 3 times, and never lost this fast. Plus, I'm not hungry much and have not craved sweets. The cookies are so convenient and easy to take with me anywhere. By far, it's the easiest diet I have tried - and I have tried most!
Chris, Hale, MI, United States, February 12 2010

I had my 4 week weigh in yesterday 2/1/10 and I am down 20 lbs!!! I feel great and am truly motivated to lose the next 130 lbs! Thanks for an amazing product Dr Siegal.
Rosanna, Richmond, KY, United States, February 02 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Rosanna. I encourage you to take photos of yourself after every ten pounds you lose. Seeing the previous photos will provide even more motivation.

I absolutely love this! I have 30 pounds to lose and lost 9 pounds last week, but I also incorporated lifting weights and treadmill! I feel good and am not hungry just as long as I eat the cookies and drink plenty of water!I love this!!
Diane, Altoona, IA, United States, February 02 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm delighted with your enthusiasm, Diane, but don't set yourself up for failure due to unrealistic expectations. While weight (not fat) loss is often accelerated at the start of a diet, the amount of fat that a typical person loses on 1,000 to 1,200 calories is about 10 to 12 pounds a month.

Four days down and so is 5 pounds of weight. It took me a couple of weeks to make sure that this diet was worth the investment and commitment too. I have to say-IT WAS! Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book is a must read. It was informative and has me excited about getting to my ideal weight and making a lifestyle change.
Shari, Hampton, VA, United States, February 01 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I happen to be sitting on a plane as I write this, Shari, and I have to say that you've made my flight less boring! I'm so glad that you read the book and understood the importance of lifestyle change in long-term weight maintenance.

I have the lap band, and have lost 70 lbs, and then after 2 years have gained back 20. I am so happy with your product not hungry and in 5 days lost 7 lbs already.
Angela, Trumbull, CA, United States, January 31 2010

Today was my five-week weigh in and I've lost 21.8 pounds. I LOVE this diet! It's perfect for my lifestyle and the fast weight loss keeps me highly motivated! Thank you, Dr. Siegal!
Gail, Virginia Beach, VA, United States, January 30 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Motivation and controlling hunger are the two most important aspects to successful weight loss. Way to go, Gail!

Well...I had my one month weigh in today and was thrilled to see that I have lost 17 pounds thusfar. I feel terrific; usually do not feel really hungry until dinner time and am exicted to begin Month 2. THANK YOU Dr. Siegal! Losing weight has never been so easy for me...and I have tried many, many diet plans. Ideally I would like to lose 55 more pounds...and I truly believe I can do it!
Julie, Cleveland, OH, United States, January 29 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Absolutely you can do it, Julie, and you're well on your way. Stay focused on your goal, and don't stop until you get there. People who reach their goal weight are more likely to keep it off than those who take a break from their diet before they're finished.

Worked like magic, gave it to my girlfriend for Christmas and she already lost 10 pounds! Now we can finally enjoy a little vaca on the beach. Thank you doctor Siegal I owe you one
Mike, Montreal, Canada, January 29 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: My pleasure, Mike. Enjoy that vacation!

tomarrow will be two weeks since i've been on this diet...it works!!!!! I am down by 15lbs already...this is just amazing!!! I never thought I could go through a day without juice but I actually did it for two weeks!!! I am so happy...Thanks alot Dr Siegal..
Kemone , Bronx, NY, United States, January 28 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're very welcome!

Great program! In the middle of my 3rd week and I am down 12 lbs. I started at 216 and now at 204. I have to admit, I have had to increase (or cheat) the calories on the weekends because I need more fuel while taking the kids downhill skiing. The cookies truly control my hunger and the overall program has allowed me to realize the emotional aspect of eating. The goal is between 190 and 195. I know it will not be a problem. Thanks Dr. Siegal!
C, Detroit, MI, United States, January 28 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome. And as far as increasing the calories on weekends to compensate for the increased physical activity goes, that's fine as long as you do add only enough calories to compensate for the ones the skiing is burning off. Based on your weight loss it sounds like you are correctly estimating the additional calories burned.

I am amazed that I have had no cravings at all. These cookies do exactly what you created them to do. I have lost 10.5 pounds in 8 days and I am very excited.....I think I have finally found the answer to my weight loss prayers. Thank you!
Sheri, Draper, UT, United States, January 27 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's great to hear, Sheri. Weight loss is guaranteed when you follow a diet of 1,000 to 1,200 calories. But it's important to have realistic goals. The average person will lose about 10 pounds of fat per month at that level.

I am on the second week of the cookie diet, I've lost 11lbs, this diet really works! I'm not that crazy about the taste of the cookies, but the diet works so im happy! I can't wait to see the final results. Thnaks Dr Siegal
Tiffany, Montreal , Canada, January 26 2010

We started the cookie diet two months ago and have lost 40+ pounds! Thank You Dr Siegal!!!!! Life Changing!!!! i love you!!!
Ryan Becca Landon, Buffalo Grove, IL, United States, January 25 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's great to hear, Ryan. If you've reached your goal, read Chapter 22 in Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book which is entitled, "Keeping It Off." And if you're not at your goal weight, keep going because people who take a break from their diet rarely return to it until they've regained most of the weight they lost.

I just finished week 4 on Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet and have lost a total of 18.2 pounds so far! This is the perfect diet for my lifestyle, and the easiest weight loss I've experienced! Thanks, Dr. Siegal!
Gail, Virginia Beach, VA, United States, January 23 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Gail, but you did all the work!

I stared my Cookie Diet on 1/16/10 its only been 6 Days and I have Lost 6Lbs!! I am so Happy Im 145 and I would like to get to 120 so I going to keep going..But I Love this Diet Im never Hungry its super easy and convenient! But It helps me too because its fast and easy and I dont have to put allot thought into my 1 meal and I know im not messing up on my diet or eating something I should not...but I Love this Diet and will recommend to all my friends.I never been on a diet better!!
Erin, San Diego, CA, United States, January 22 2010

I lost 14 lbs in 30 days on Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet. I followed the plan most of the time but I did over-eat on 4 of the 30 days so I probably could have lost more!
Matt, Riverside, CA, United States, January 21 2010

This is my 1st week so i dont have a before and after picture yet but i just wanted to say that i started this diet 1 week ago and i have already lost 5 lbs.. This couldnt be any easier... I always told my friends that i dont need food in my life.. that i can eat chocolate all day.. that i only eat food to eat it.. and what better diet then This one that i'm able to eat cookies all day.. LOVE LOVE LOVE this diet. i cant wait to start my second week. i gave myself a break today and will be eating regular just to balance it out..i want to try the shakes.. Thank you Dr Siegal... you are helping me bring my confidence back which has been missing for quiet a while now... HUGS HUGS HUGS
Melinda, New York, NY, United States, January 16 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm glad you're so motivated, Melinda, but I'm very concerned about the "break" you're taking. In fact, I predict that your current diet will ultimately fail. After treating more than 500,000 overweight patients, I know that people who interrupt a diet rarely return to it until they've regained all the weight they lost. You'll have a much better chance of success if you stay on your diet until you reach your goal.

I am Marty from Gilbert AZ's sister. I was so proud to see him on Good Morning America as I haven't seen him in 2 years. He inspired me to go on the diet as I have 150 lbs to lose. I started 1/04/10 and lost 9.5 lbs the first week. It's week 2 and I feel great! I hope to be your next success story next year. I was excited that my GNC had the cookies on sale so I have bought 6 weeks worth. Thank You Dr Siegal, the cookies control my hungar without the jitters you would get from an appetite suppressant, I love them!
Rosanna, Richmond, KY, United States, January 15 2010

I started the cookie diet on Tues. 1/12/10, and in two days, I have lost 4 pounds! I ordered the chocolate cookies and they are pleasing to the taste buds. I am struggling alittle though with hunger, maybe in time and with my stomach shrinking, my hunger will decrease. Dr. Siegal...is it advisable to eat light snacks of fruit and vegetables during the day to curb the hunger? Or even a rice cake or two? I am looking forward to continued success on the program! Thank you!
Tracey, Cypress, CA, United States, January 14 2010

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: Rice cakes and fruit are mostly carbohydrates and will likely make you even hungrier. It isn't uncommon for one to begin to experience a decrease in hunger shortly after beginning a diet so hang in there. If you're really hungry, consider having an extra cookie or two for the next few days and then go back to six a day. If the hunger persists, ask your doctor if a metabolic problem might be present.

Thank you so much for getting my "cookies" to me so quickly via the US Mail! Sometimes it can be so difficult to get things through the mail here. I think this took less than a week! Oh, the cookies are delish! I started this morning and am anxious to see results! Grazie Mille!
Becky, Naples, Italy, January 14 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Becky. By the way, I've been taking Italian lessons for more than a year. Perhaps soon I'll be able to respond to fan mail in Italian.

I have been using your cookies since May 2009. I did not want a diet but rather a product that would help me to make long term eating changes. The cookies help me make the correct decisions all day because I'm not hungry & the chocolate satisfies my urge to snack. I started at 145 & even after the holidays have maintained my weight at 126. Thank you so much!
Rachel, Penn Laird, VA, United States, January 11 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's great to hear, Rachel. Chapter 1 of Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book is called "Lifestyle Changes" and I'm glad to know that you've made one successfully.

I am a big believer in this diet! I was really skeptical when I learned about this diet because I only have 10 to 15 pounds to lose and it's sometimes difficult when you have those last 10 to lose. But I'm been on the diet for 5 days and I have lost 5 pounds. I started at 143 and this morning I weighed in at 138. My goal weight is 130 or 125 depending on how I feel at the weight. I really haven't been hungry and eat a good meal in the evening. I'm a a VP on my job and constantly on the go. I attend many meetings so this diet is so convenient. Thank you Dr. Siegal. I'll let you know when I reach my first goal of 130. This really does work!!!!!
Jan, Detroit, MI, United States, January 09 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're right Jan, it really does work! You're also correct about those last 10 pounds. In Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book, Chapter 13 is called "The Last Ten Pounds Are the Hardest."

My New Year's resolution is to finally lose 125 pounds and keep it off. I ordered your cookies and started on January 1, 2010. I got on the scale today (1/8/10) and had lost 10.6 lbs! I love that there is no thinking about what to eat. And I don't have to struggle through another salad or chicken breast. It was an easy week. I saw Marty on Good Morning America this morning talking about his amazing weight loss on this diet last year. My goal is to be the big Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Success Story for 2010!
Kerry, Manchester, NH, United States, January 08 2010

I began the diet on 1/5/10 and have already lost 7.5 pounds. I can't wait to see what my 28 day burn rate is!
Angelia, Vancleave, MS, United States, January 08 2010

I LOVE this program!...Today is my 5th day on the program and although I expect to lose MUCH more I went from 205 to 198.6....IN 5 DAYS!...I am pleased and cant wait to get down to 150!,,,Will take pictures in the FUTURE. I just want to let everybody who is lurking or wondering if this it REAL?...It is....I NOW have my Mom taking the cookies!
Sharelle, Oakland, CA, United States, January 07 2010

I just started using the diet sunday and being so impatient, i already weighed myself. So far, i've lost 4 1/2 lbs! Im so excited. i can already feel like this is going to work. and the cookies were a little better than i expected. of course theyre not that great, but theyre not bad. theyre pretty good considering theyre diet cookies. and i would like to thank dr. siegal! because i have tried every possible thing you can think of! and i already feel like this is finally what i was looking for! which makes me feel so great, because i know im goin to look fabulous for my 21st birthday! :)
Grisel, Houston, TX, United States, January 04 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm glad you're so enthusiastic, Grisel, but I want to make sure that you have realistic expectations. While it's not uncommon for someone to experience very fast weight loss at the beginning of a diet, that rate of loss doesn't last long. The average person who doesn't have a metabolic problem can expect to lose about ten pounds of fat per month on a diet of 1,000 to 1,200 calories which, of course, is still quite fast. Use the weight-loss calculators in the Resources section to estimate how many calories you'll need to consume each day (subject to your doctor's approval) in order to reach your goal weight by your birthday.

I started this diet a week ago today on 12/28 and I have lost 9.5 pounds!! This diet is easy to follow, and the results I got in just one week is defiantly motivating me to stick with it. I am excited to see what the scale will read next monday. Thank you Dr. Siegal.
Karra, Anaheim, CA, United States, January 04 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're very welcome, Karra!

I have been suffering from Lupus for years. I am unable to lose weight with any diet that I have tried. I started these Dr Siegals diet cookies and lost 10 lbs in a month. I feel great for the first time in 8 years. I can't wait to see how much more I can lose.
Susan, Crystal Lake, IL, United States, January 03 2010

My husband and I started this diet the day after Thanksgiving, 2009. We had both attempted different diets for years and years and years. But the cookie diet has been easy! No planning, no counting, just eat the cookies and have a lean protein, green veg dinner. I've lost 21.5 lbs and my husband has lost almost 30 lbs! We drink lots of water and make sure to have the vitamins. We make sure we have cookies with us when we leave the house 'cause we find when we get hungry we really need to eat or our stomachs get queasy. We have gone off for certain meals (Christmas Day, New Year's Eve) and have had no problem going right back to the cookie approach. Thanks Dr. Siegal!
Paula, Homer, AK, United States, January 03 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Paula. Happy New Year!

I started this diet on Dec. 27, 2009, and have lost 7.4 pounds in the first week! This is the perfect diet for me! I do well with limited choices and rapid weight loss is the name of the game to keep me motivated. I have a website devoted to weight issues and will be sharing my progress with my viewers. Your book was fascinating! I loved the chapter devoted to the history of dieting. I also love the way in which you address your skeptics. I feel we are "kindred spirits" as we think alike. You clearly understand serial dieters. My only regret is that it took me so long to discover your program. Thank you!
Gail, Virginia Beach, VA, United States, January 02 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Well thank you, Gail. I'm truly flattered. And I'm delighted to hear of your initial success. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I have lost 22 lbs since using this plan that I began on Oct. 23, 2009. However, I only eat 3 cookies each day. One for breakfast, one for an lunch, and one for an afternoon snack. Then I eat basically whatever I want for supper, but I do utilize constraints and try to eat relatively healthy such as a salad and entre' such as chicken with a vegetable. I drink lots of water, coffee (black) in the AM and unsweet tea in the evening with my meal. I have been walking 3 to 4 miles at least 5 days a week. I have found this diet very easy, yet as expected, I do get a little hungry before supper due to only eating 3 cookies during the day, but I manage well drinking water and that frees me up to eat what I want at supper, after exercising. My husband has started supplementing his eating routine with some of the cookies each day and has now lost 11 lbs.
Roxanne, Paris, TN, United States, January 01 2010

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Although the six-cookies-a-day diet that I have used with hundreds of thousands of my patients has worked very well these past 35 years, weight loss is not an exact science. As long as your diet is working for you, and as long as you're getting at least 1,000 calories a day (or whatever your own docor has advised), then I'm happy.

I am so happy with this diet. My son is getting married in Oct. 2010 to a beautiful thin girl. My husband and myself want to loose our weight by then. We both started the day after Thanksgiving and are proud to say I have lost 11lbs and he has lost 15lbs. I am a life time member of weight watchers and as a rule I lose whenever I go back but it takes FOREVER but not with your cookies. I give one of the cookies to my boss and guess what she called me today and said she got her cookies in the mail and starting her diet today. Thank-you for helping us to get going on the loss!!!
Joyce, Big Flats, NY, United States, December 30 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Thank YOU, Joyce, for sharing your story and starting my new year off on such a happy note!

I started my diet yesterday, Dec 28 and am so surprised how satisfying the cookies are.. I only ate 5 cookies through the day. Is it okay to have the last cookie as an evening snack?
Julie, Cleveland , OH, United States, December 29 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: If that works for you then go right ahead. The purpose of the cookie is to satisfy your hunger so that you can stick to a reduced-calorie diet. While most people find it easier to eat the six cookies before dinner, as long as you aren't too hungry before bedtime you can save the last cookie until then.

I am happy to report that in 2 months I am down 3 sizes! my Husband is returning from Iraq in March and I should hit my goal weight by then!He will be so surprised to see me 60 pounds lighter. I also feel more motivated to exercise longer because I can see the difference!I am excited to start the year 30 lbs lighter!
Lori, Tacoma, WA, United States, December 29 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I've enjoyed hearing your progress reports, Lori. Congratulations on a job well done, and please keep us posted on the happy homecoming!

I started the diet on November 1st and as of this morning have lost 21.5 pounds. I haven't been hungry and have been able to modify the times that I eat to fit into my social schedule during this busy season. My co-workers sometimes tease me about my "cookie diet", but have seen the results and are understanding when I choose to eat my cookie instead of whatever they're eating. Thank you, Dr. Siegal for giving me something that works!
Kelly, Springfield, IL, United States, December 20 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, and I applaud your discipline. It's not easy sticking your diet when others around you are eating fattening foods. Great job!

I started my diet on Monday December 7th and when my co-workers saw the cookie bag, they laughed and made comments about another fad diet. Well, I am so excited to report that I have lost 7 lbs. I haven't followed the diet exactly as prescribed, but I'm losing weight anyway. When my husband noticed, I knew I was on to something! Thank you for showing me an easy way to lose weight. I will send pictures when I reach the 20 lb weight loss benchmark and again at the final of 35 lbs. Thanks again, I feel certain that I'll make it.
Alma, Charlotte, NC, United States, December 18 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Good for you, Alma, for seeing past its catchy name and realizing that my approach is actually a sensible, proven way to lose weight.

Started the diet on Monday Dec 7th and have lose 6 lbs. I can't believe how easy this is. I eat a normal dinner with my family and are still losing. This really is the easiest diet I have ever been on and I have tried alot and always was hungry on them. not this time looking forward to lose my first goal of 15lbs..
Elizabeth, Chesapeake, VA, United States, December 11 2009

I started my diet on November 9th and as of today I have lost 15lbs and still counting. This is the easiest diet I have ever been on and I cant wait to reach my goal. 30 more lbs to go. I am sure that I will make my goal on this diet. Thank you Dr. Siegal
Karlene, Corona, CA, United States, December 10 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You certainly will with that terrific attiude, Karlene. And remember that it's important that you keep going until to reach your goal. I've learned from my experience with hundreds of thousands of patients that those who don't stop their diet until they've reached their goal are much more likely to keep the weight off in the long run.

I have been doing this for 7 weeks. I have lost 24lbs. I have reached a point where I am loosing 1-2lbs a week. I have kept a diary of weight loss and I am happy with the no hunger and the way I feel. I read today's WSJ and no reporter can understand unless they have tried to seriously lose weight.
Linda, Miami, FL, United States, December 08 2009

MATTHEW SIEGAL REPLIES: You're right, Linda. Only someone who has been through the process knows what losing weight is really like. Congratulations on your success.

I am so excited!! I reached the 20 pound mark! I enjoyed my Thanksgiving day snacks and meal and got right back on the cookies the next day. I'm ready for the next 20 pounds to come off. Thank you for controlling the hunger! I couldn't stick to a diet before, but this one is certainly working for me. My daughter is on Weight Watchers and a prescription pill. She doesn't like how the pill makes her feel and she gained 9 pounds out of the 18 she lost over the Thanksgiving week. She is very down. I know it is very disheartening to work so hard to lose weight only to have it come back so easily. I have told her about my success with the cookie diet and I am going to give her 2 weeks worth of the cookies to try to see if it works for her as well as it is working for me. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again for your cookies!!
Beth, Winchester, VA, United States, December 06 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: The holidays aren't quite here yet, Beth, but you've given me an early present. Very motivating story!

Just started today on the diet!! I am excited and hopefull, I am 43 and weighing in at 162 at only 5'3. I wanting to be in the 120lb range soon! What is the best frozen dinner to eat at night?? I know I won't usually have time to cook. Thanks!!
Michelle, Dallas, TX, United States, December 06 2009

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: Frozen dinners are convenient and you always know exactly how many calories you're getting with them. There's a list of compatible ones in Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book, and you can also call Consumer Relations for suggestions.

I started this diet November 16th with my starting weight being 190lbs. I will say that I have cheated here and there, especially thanksgiving week but I still managed to lose 14 pounds in almost three weeks. This morning i weighed myself and my weight was 176.2. I was so excited. I had never seen myself drop below 180 from all the other diets i did. I can't believe I still lost this much weight even though i cheated a little. Thank you Dr. Siegal.
Diana, North Hollywood, CA, United States, December 03 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Diana, and congratulations on "getting back on the horse" after Thanksgiving. So many people make the mistake of giving up on a diet if they happen to give into temptation and cheat. When that happens, the right thing to do is to get back on track immediately.

Well I just bought my cookies at my local GNC store last night. I started the cookie diet this morning and I could not believe how good the cookies were. They are soft, chew and really delicious. I have about 80 pounds to lose and I hope that this journey I have started will help me to reach my goal weight.
Tracee, Flowery Branch, GA, United States, December 03 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great enthusiasm, Tracee! As for my cookie being delicious, however, that really wasn't my intention. I want people to find them good but not too good. Delicious cookies and other foods have helped 65% of us become overweight. I hope you'll keep us posted on your progress.

Hello! I am starting my second month and have lost about 20! i am so excited , I have no doubt that before my husband returns from Iraq in March I will be looking as good as I did when we married! I cant wait to see his face when he gets off the plane and sees me looking as good as i did when we got married. (I am also exercising more often just because I want to tone up)Cant wait to send you pictures of that day!!!
Lori, Tacoma, WA, United States, December 01 2009

I have only used the product for one week and lost 5 pounds. I am exercising for 30 minutes each day and have about 30 pounds to loose. I love that I am not hungry during the day, but have to admit, I am really hungry by evening. Is it okay to eat my main meal at Noon instead of evening, and eat the cookies at night? Also, wish all GNCs sold the cookies! I prefer purchasing in person that on line. Also, would be great to have a dr. like you in our area!
Diane, Des Moines, IA, United States, November 29 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Hi Diane. Congratulations on your initial success. As for having your "real meal" during the day, I know that some people do it that way and there's no real harm in trying. However, I don't like to tamper with an approach that has worked for decades. I'd rather see you have dinner a little earlier. As for local availability, more than 700 GNC stores carry the cookies now and more are being added daily. Any GNC can order them for you; just ask the sales clerk. Also, the cookies are arriving at more Walgreens stores, independent retailers, and doctors' offices daily. Call CookieDiet.com consumer support to find the closest location.

I have ordered a month's supply of cookies. They should be delivered in a few days, but as I was browsing around these testimonials, I have noticed that some people have lost so many pounds in one, two three, and 4 weeks. But I really have not seen anything in there for more than one month. Did I justmiss it, or is this diet just geared for a month?
Mike, Hayward, CA, United States, November 25 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: The diet is effective whether you have 10 pounds or 100 pounds (or more) to lose. If you watch or read the news stories under In the News you'll see stories about people who have lost a lot of weight over many months.

I love this diet because you don't have to wonder what to eat; you've got it with you. That's been the most helpful thing for me in losing 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Thanks, Dr. Siegal!
Mary, Chapin, SC, United States, November 25 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Mary. Happy (sensible) Thanksgiving!

Today is day 28 on the diet and I have officially lost 21 lbs. I'm having trouble with the calculator though.. When I have the maintenance calories it comes to 3475 but the second calc. will only take 3000 have I goofed up or do I use the 3000? BTW this is the greatest diet ever!! I have confidence that by my set date March 14 I will weigh 160 lbs. No gastric bypass for me just determination!!
Debbie, Newland, NC, United States, November 21 2009

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: Congratulations on the great start to your diet, Debbie. Unless you are vigorously exercising for several hours a day, it's highly unlikely that you have a weight maintenance level of 3,475 calories. You'll definitely want to call Consumer Relations for help using the calculators. You may have the first calculator set to metric rather English mode.

I have been on the diet for almost 3 weeks and have lost 13 lbs. The first two weeks I lost 11 pounds, I started exercising this week as well and only lost 2 lbs. Does exercising slow down the weight loss, or should I keep exercising.
Hannah, Mannsville, KY, United States, November 21 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Exercise (in which you burn about 500 calories a day) is my preferred method of maintaining weight once you reach your goal. But during the weight-losing phase of a diet, too much exercise can result in a larger than desired caloric deficit. When your caloric intake is too low, you actually lose at a slower rate.

I just started this diet on Monday, November 16th. I bought a whole month supply worth of chocolate cookies from the Beverly Hills store. The cookies taste great despite what others have said. I started out with 190 lbs and have not weighed myself yet. I believe I should wait a week before doing so to notice some significant weight loss. I am not eating all six cookies as suggested because I do not get hungry as much. I only eat four cookies and have a frozen dinner with a vegetable such as a cucumber. It comes out to less than a 1,000 calories but my doctor suggested that i go on a diet anyway. Is it okay if i'm only eating four cookies out of six?
Diana, North Hollywood, CA, United States, November 18 2009

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: You should seek and follow your doctor's advice as to the right number of calories for you. Don't assume that the fewer calories you consume the greater success you'll enjoy for that isn't always the case.

This is my second day on the diet and I'm doing good so far. I don't feel hungry and I only had four cookies yesterday and one today so far (12:36pm). My question is do I have to eat all six cookies or I can eat less?
Markie, Paramus, NJ, United States, November 18 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I frequently hear from my own patients that fewer than six cookies are enough to satisfy their hunger. Since you aren't my patient, my advice is to consult your doctor who, based on your medical history, is most qualified to advise and monitor you while you're on any diet.

I've been on the diet for 4 weeks and have lost close to 30 lbs. I recommend this to anyone who battles with their weight. The first couple of days were tough but after that I lost the cravings for most of the junk food. I feel better, I'm happier, which makes my wife and kids happier. Well worth the commitment! Thanks Dr. Siegel.
Steven, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, November 17 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Steven. GREAT job!

I have been on the diet for 3 days and have lost 6 lbs - what a great jump start! I too like would like to have a "chat room" or interactive support site for others that are on this same diet plan. Certainly the quick weight loss is encouraging but support from others would be an added benefit!
Rikki, Decatur, IL, United States, November 14 2009

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: We're working on it, Rikki!

Hello, I started the diet on Oct. 23, 2009 buying a one months supply. Today is day 21 on the diet and I've lost 18 lbs 212lbs to 194lbs.. I can't believe I lost that much. I ordered my second months batch (because shipping seems to take about a week ). I'm really happy about this diet. It is so simple to follow and I haven't had any headaches or bad mood swings as I've had following other diet plans. I eat my meal (between 300-450 calories) a little earlier then suggest (between 3-4pm) that seems to work better for my body. I take my multi vitamin as well as a few others and drink plenty of water and green tea only. I'm hoping to stay on this diet for 3 months then re evaluate. It is working for me and I'm thrilled. A question though for the staff: How come there is no place for chat/tips/support/ encouragement for those on the cookie diet. I've searched the internet and really have found most people putting down this diet and not welcoming cookie dieters in their forums or just ignored. It would be nice to be able to share this experience with others doing it, so far it's been a lonely diet. I will update how I'm making out on this diet again. Thank's Dr. Seigal
Chrissy, Raymond, NH, United States, November 12 2009

Wow! Wow! Wow! Two weeks have passed and I am not feeling deprived or hungry. I have lost 15 pounds to date. Wow! Wow! Wow!
Beth, Winchester, VA, United States, November 12 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Wow indeed, Beth. If motivation is a key to successful weight loss (and believe me, it is), then you are as certain as anyone to succeed!

I started this diet oct 20 th, And i am so happy to report that i have lost a total of 10 pounds, I can see the inches falling off, and my co workers are commenting on the weight loss, My goal is to be 125, i have 25 more pounds to go, I do have to say the chocolate is the best cookie,
Kellie, Englewood, CO, United States, November 10 2009

I began this diet on Oct 24,2009 as of today Nov 10 I have lost 15 lbs. I would never have gotten my kick start if it hadn't been for the cookie. I plan on being 170 by February 2010.. I do have a question can you have almond milk on this diet? Thank you Dr. Siegal for giving me back my life and personality.
Debbie, Newland, NC, United States, November 10 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Debbie. I'm glad my cookie helped but the hard part was yours. As for almond milk, I wouldn't recommend it. It's loaded with carbs (sugar) and will likely leave you hungry.

I just started this diet a week ago and it does work! It is the first diet I have been on and havent been hungry at all. I havent had a headache. At first the thought of one meal a day is a bit scary but I cant believe I am doing it and I am fine! Thank you for making something that really works!
Becky, Greensburg, PA, United States, November 08 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Becky!

I am super excited to be down 9.8 lbs in only 8 days. I keep waking up during the night just to weigh myself because its fun! My husband is on his 3rd tour of duty and everytime he leaves I gain 30 lbs! he is coming home in March for some R&R and im hoping I lose 30 more by then. And maybe 50 before he gets home inAugust! Thank You I feel great!
LORI, TACOMA, WA, United States, November 08 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Thanks for sharing, Lori. Great attitude!

I started the cookie diet on November 1st and have lost six pounds. The cookies taste good (especially the chocolate!), and control the hunger until dinner time. The best thing about this diet (besides the fast weight loss) is it teaches you to feed your hunger rather than your emotions. I'm excited, and I know this one will work!!
Kelly , Springfield, IL, United States, November 08 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm glad to hear that you're off to a good start, Kelly. As for teaching you better eating habits, if it does, then the explanation falls under what is known as the Law of Unintended Consequences. I created my cookies simply as a means of controlling my patients' hunger and enabling them to stick to a low calorie diet. I hear comments like yours all the time and I'm happy if the phenomenon people report is real. But I can't claim to have deliberately created a product that "teaches" anything.

Hey Dr. Siegal , I just got my first set of cookies. GNC and all other stores were comletely sold out. My goal is to lose 30 pounds. My question is can you drink milk with the cookies?
Jayna, baton rouge, LA, United States, November 07 2009

DR.SIEGAL REPLIES: I have to confess that you're message gave me a good chuckle. As much as I enjoy milk and cookies like the next person, I'm afraid that milk is ill-advised on a weight-loss diet. Milk is loaded with sugars and that's not what you want when trying to keep hunger in check. As for the cookies being sold out at many stores, we're aware of the problem. Demand has skyrocketed recently. But I increased production and don't expect the temporary shortage to happen again.

My goal is to lose 20 lbs. for increased energy and to improve my overall health. I wanted a jumpstart and, after looking around, I began this diet on October 29th 2009. I am down 6 lbs. after 8 days. My energy is already on the rise and I am seeing a change in the way my clothes fit. I am also sleeping better...which is an unexpected bonus. As far as the diet goes... I look forward to my meal at night but really do not feel hungry during the day. I eat the cookies and am following the suggestions. After 8 days I am still very motivated. I think it is because I am never hungry. These cookies are working as promised.
Jill, Concord, NH, United States, November 06 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great attitude, Jill. You're on you're way!

I've been struggling with my weight problem my entire life. After I found Dr. Siegal's product, I immediately consulted my physician and we decided it was time for me to make a change and be serious about my diet. I was instructed to consume 1200 calories a day with plenty of water and a daily vitamin tablet. I have just received my box of cookies and cannot wait to start. I am currently 175lbs at 5'2" and plan to lose at least 60lbs. Thank you Dr. Siegal for this opportunity!
Brenda, Riverside, CA, United States, November 06 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Thank you, Brenda, for getting off to a great start by involving your doctor in the process. There is no better way to ensure success on any diet.

I started the cookie diet on Monday and was off to a great start. However, staying full till dinner gets worse everyday. I go to the gym 5 times a week and I am not sure i have the energy to workout in the evening before dinner, when I'm starving ! I am going to stick with it because I have lost 5 pounds in only 3 days! Only 25 more to go ! With results like this I guess I just have to keep eating cookies.
Sandy , Lawrence, KS, United States, November 05 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm a big fan of exercise as the way to keep the weight off for life. But if you're going to the gym five times a week while on a diet, and particularly if you're hungry, it's quite possible that you need to consume more calories to compensate for the ones you're burning off. Make sure you factor in the calories you burn through exercise when determining your true daily caloric intake.

I started the Dr. Siegal's cookie diet 3 days ago and have lost 3 lbs. The best part is I really think they are good. I have my favorite flavors, but actually look foward to eating them. Plus, I am not hungry in between and am full with a small lean cuisine for dinner. I am so excited about this diet. I only wish I had found it much sooner. I have about 80 lbs to loose and would love to do so by summer!!
Jennifer, Chino Hills, CA, United States, November 05 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great start, Jennifer! Now, to determine whether your goal is realistic, and how to ensure you reach it, be sure to use the weight-loss calculators in the Resources section.

HI, I started the Cookie Diet on 10/26 and have lost 10 pounds already! I am not eating all the six cookies suggested although I am having a 500 calorie meal for dinner. I am getting by with between 2-3 cookies a day and am not hungry for more. Is that OK not to eat all 6 cookies? Also, I have a question regarding frozen dinners...they all seem to have carbs such as rice, pasta or potatoes...so carbs are okay in frozen dinners you have suggested or any other frozen dinner as long as calories and protein count is good? Am I okay with lower than 1000/1200 calories a day as long as I am not hungry? Love the cookies and they really work!!
Betty, Miami, FL, United States, November 04 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm glad you're seeing results and that your motivation is high. As for the number of calories you should consume, that is a matter to be discussed with your doctor. Lower is not necessarily better. If you're serious about getting to the finish line, visit your doctor and discuss what is the right amount of calories for you.

I was desperate seeing my daughter turn from a beautiful 5'7 150 lbs to a still beautiful but dangerous 310 lbs! - I pleaded with her and she went on the Dr. Siegal diet about 2-1/2 months ago, she has lost 32 lbs already! - She resides in Miami, and I am so looking for to go to Miami in December to see the results! Nothing worked before and she loves the cookies! Thank you Dr Siegal!
Mirtha, Alexandria, VA, United States, November 04 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Thank you, Mirtha, for taking the time to share your story. I don't know whether or not your daughter is my patient here in Miami but, whoever her doctor is, she should check in frequently with him or her to maximize her prospects of reaching her goal weight.

Hello, I have been on the cookie diet for the last week and so far have been seeing results that I am very happy with. My mother noticed as well and would like to try to go on the cookie diet, only problem is that she has type B diabetes (not using insulin). Would she be able to go on the cookie diet? Or would that affect her sugar levels too much?
Mary, Montreal, Canada, November 04 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I'm delighted that you're sticking to your diet and seeing results, Mary. As for your mother and her diabetes, that's a medical question that only her doctor can answer. Urge her to consult her doctor before making any changes to her diet.

Hi, I started a week ago. If it keeps coming off like this I'll be a lifer. I got a long way to go though. I'll keep you all posted.
Gayl, Bridgewater, CT, United States, November 03 2009

Well today is Monday, day 1. I just had foot surgery a few days ago & am layed up, doing nothing. What better time to start a diet. I like many people saw GMA and ordered immediately. My goal is to be 30 lbs. thinner by February 1. The testimonials are great..so I am hoping for great results as well. My exercise has to be upper body for a while along with this diet-so we'll see. Wish me luck!
Debbie, Blairstown, NJ, United States, November 02 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I do wish you luck, Debbie, even though luck has nothing to do with it. Follow a reduced calorie diet and I guarantee you'll lose weight. Your goal (30 pounds in three months) requires you to lose ten pounds a month. That's not an uncommon rate at which to lose but it requires discipline. If you're serious about succeeding, be sure to have your doctor monitor your diet. Also, consider using the calculators found in the Resources section of CookieDiet.com.

I have recently ordered the cookies and I am excited!!! I am starting the cookies today on my Birthday!!! I thought what better way to make a change in my life than that day that would change my age!!! I will keep you updated!!!
Latoyia , Winston-Salem, NC, United States, November 02 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I can't think of a better birthday present to give yourself, Latoyia, than improved health and appearance. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I have order a month supply of your cookie diet/shakes and looking forwarding to getting started once I receive your products being that I am over here in Iraq working as a contractor. I will be going on my vacation toward the last week of this month and hope to get started right away. I will send you a before and after picture once I see the difference in my appearance.
Susanne, APO, AE, United States, November 01 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Thanks for writing, Susanne. I love hearing from our customers who are overseas and serving in the armed forces. Many have told me that it can be difficult following any reduced-calorie diet in such a challenging environment. I admire your determination and look forward to seeing your photos.

I have been on this diet for 6 days and lost six pounds! I weigh myself every morning and I'm consistantly losing a pound a day! It's great! Normally I would have cheated by now, but I think because it's a week by week thing I'm just trying to get through the week! Also, I know I'm going to get something good for dinner and the cookies taste good, especially warmed up! Thanks Dr. Siegal!
Joanna, Lakewood, CA, United States, November 01 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Joanna, but you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. The most fat that one can burn is about a half pound a day, and on 1,000 calories the rate is a little less. At the beginning of a diet, weight (not fat) loss can occur somewhat faster but it doesn't stay at that rate for long. I'm sure you won't complain if you see ten pounds or so come off each month.

I saw your show on Good Morning America and went out that day in search of the cookies. Our GNC did not have them but they ordered them for me and i received them on a Tuesday evening and started them on Wednesday. I have been on them for almost 2 weeks and I have lost 13 pounds. I am eating what i want for supper and eating your cookies for morning and lunch meals. I just signed up to order from you direct even though it is cheaper to order from GNC. I wanted to try the other flavors. I need to lose at least another 80 pounds but this will make it easier. Thanks for listening to Women it makes a difference when a Dr. Listens.
Brenda, Biloxi, MS, United States, November 01 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: I've heard that hundreds of GNC and Walgreens stores have had trouble keeping the cookies in stock. That problem should ease very soon as we have dramatically increased production in our bakery. As for your weight loss, I'm glad that you're off to a good start. By all means, see your doctor as often as he or she feels is necessary. Your chances for success will be far greater if your doctor monitors you while you lose.

This morning begins my 5th day of the cookie diet. I really like the cookies. The consistency and taste appeals to my cravings. I have lost 8.4 pounds by following exactly what you said except that I do have some cashews during my evening meal. I had been eating part of an apple, but I didn't have any last night. I am totally amazed by this rapid reduction. I know it won't be like this throughout the whole diet, but it certainly is motivating me to keep going!! Thanks!
Beth, Winchester, VA, United States, November 01 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: It's not unusual at the beginning of a diet to see dramatic weight loss but remember that not all the weight one loses comes from fat. On 1,000 calories a day, the average adult loses around ten pounds of fat per month. Any diet plan that promises much more than that should be avoided.

2 years ago I was in my senior year at pastry school. I went home for break and found that my aunt had lost a great deal of weight. She told me that she was on dr. siegal's cookie diet and that she loved it. i went back to school for my spring semester with a few boxes of cookies. I found that even though I was around fresh baked-goods everyday that i could keep to this diet. i lost 30 lbs in about 2 months. If I could do it.. anyone can!
Rachel, Philadelphia, PA, United States, October 31 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great story, Rachel. I'm sure the chocolate eclairs with which you were undoubtedly surrounded were tempting. I'm glad you had the willpower to resist and I'll bet you are, too.

I started your cookie diet last week and I have lost 5 lbs. I have been on every diet imagineable. The BEST thing about this diet is that you know if you are putting ANYTHING in your mouth before dinner you are CHEATING. That makes it good for us "grazers". The is no guessing about what to eat or when to eat it. You don't have to pre-pack all your food for the day, you did it for us. I can't wait to lose this last 30 lbs. I will send you the before and after then!
Maureen, Bristol, TN, United States, October 29 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: With that kind of enthusiasm you're going to get to the finish line, Maureen! Now, keep going and don't stop until you reach your goal. In my experience, those who stick to a diet without falling off the wagon before reaching their goal are far more likely to get there. When people "take a break" from their diet they rarely resume it until they've gained back the weight they lost.

I started the diet cookie 10/28 and to my surprise I only ate 5 cookies. I had a fzn dinner and yogurt for dinner with 3oz of orange juice-for my immune system. I was surprised that I wasn't hungry although I did keep thinking about snacking. In one just day I realized I eat without being hungry which explains my weight gain! I skimmed thru most of the book but couldn't find anything in regards to eating fruit. Is it allowable?
Fanny, Chicago, IL, United States, October 29 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Fruit? If you aren't hungry (which would surprise me) and are sticking to a reduced-calorie diet then go ahead. But it's definitely a no-no on Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet. Fruit is fine once you reach your goal and are living a lifetime weight maintenance lifestyle, Fanny, but not during the weight-losing phase. Fruit is mostly sugar (that is, carbohdyrate) and carbs can stimulate hunger. The suggested diet is six cookies during the day to be eaten at hunger times and a reasonable dinner of chicken, fish, or turkey and some steamed green vegetables for dinner.

Dr. Siegal I started my cookie diet today! The cookies really did control my hunger during the day. However I was wondering if it would be possible to eat low calorie frozen dinners instead of protein and veggies? I work full time, go to school full time and I don't have the time to actually cook in the evening. It would make my life so much easier if I could just pop in a frozen dinner in the microwave! Thanks!!!
RR, San Jose, CA, United States, October 22 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Absolutely. In fact, frozen dinners are good because there's no guessing as to the nutritional breakdown (calories, carbs, fat, and protein). In Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book, I provide guidelines for choosing frozen foods and a list of those that meet the requirements.

I just started the diet on 10/20 and so far so good. The cookies really help satisfy my hunger. I do have a question. If I haven't seen a doctor yet, is there a big difference between eating 1000 or 1200 calories. Will my body think I am starving if I am suppose to have 1200 but I am only doing 1000. I feel fine and I have been on it for 3 days.
Sofie, Los Angeles, CA, United States, October 22 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's not quite it. The reason why you should see your doctor before starting any diet is that your doctor may have reasons why you shouldn't be on a diet or why one diet may be more appropriate than another, based on your medical history. Also, I believe that those who follow a diet under their doctor's supervision have a greater success rate.

Hi, I just ordered the one month starter kit. I have been way overweight for quite awhile and am excited to start. I have heard very good things about this diet. If I lose quite a bit of weight in the first month, I will probably continue to order this.
Ashley, Fort Collins, CO, United States, October 22 2009

DR SIEGAL REPLIES: Ashley, I'm glad that you've made the decision to lose the excess weight. However, I fear that you are setting yourself up for failure. It's the word "if" that worries me. There must be no "ifs" if you are to succeed. I assume by "if" you mean "if the cookie works and I lose weight." No food, including my cookie, will make you lose weight. What will make you lose weight will be following a reduced-calorie diet. The cookies will help at hunger times but the weight will only come off if you're motivated and do what you know you must. Now get to it!

I'm sorry but I may be the biggest skeptic you have ever come across!! I can't even begin to tell you how many diets I have tried from pills, to prepacked food, to powdered drinks, to stuff you sprinkle on your food!!! And thats jjust to name a few!!!! And they all have some sort of page where people are claiming it is the miracle they have waited for, but they weren't miracles for me!!! Just another dissappoitment!! So I ordered a 1 week supply of the cookies & I will try them out! I'm so tired of throwing money away, but if these cookies really control my hunger & if I even lose a couple of pounds in that week, I will buy a 28 day supply gladly!!
Laurie, Poland, NY, United States, October 22 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Laurie, you've solved your own mystery. Those diets you've tried that used words like "magic" and "miracle" were doomed to fail before you even started. There's no magic to weight loss, and nothing miraculous about my diet or anyone else's. To lose weight you need to create a caloric deficit. It's that simple. Under the best of circumstances, losing weight is nobody's idea of fun. My cookie is intended to take the edge off of your hunger so that you can lose weight by eating less. The rest is up to you.

I just started today on the diet. I wanted to ask if instead of the dinner meal if i can have breakfast and then cookies all day? Nights are really rushed for me and I try to squeak in an exercise class
CB, Salt Lake City, UT, United States, October 19 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: That's a common question, CB, and my answer is always the same. Why tamper with an approach that has worked well for hundreds of thousands of people? Still, in the end, what matters is your total daily calories. As long as you consume less than you need to maintain your weight you'll be successful. However, if you replace the dinner with breakfast, I believe you'll be too hungry during the day to stick to your diet. You can try it and, if you're too hungry, just go back to the recommended regimen.

I just started the diet 10/17/09 and have found that the cookies really do control my hunger. As a stay at home mom, I am surround by food everytime I walk through the kitchen. Now I can walk through the kitchen without stopping for a bite. The only think is that I wish there was a variety that was salty instead of sweet. Maybe something like cheddar cheese, onion or garlic. I have already lost 2.5lbs in 3 days. So if you want fast result I highly recommend this to everyone.
Heather, New London, CT, United States, October 19 2009

I just wanted to let you all know how excited I am to get started with this journey!!! I have a feeling that I am going to be very successful and I've checked with a registered dietician to ensure that 1000 - 1200 calories was an acceptable caloric intake. I've placed my order today as I have about 60 lbs to lose! I can't wait to see the results!!!
Anne, Denver, CO, United States, October 13 2009

Dr. Siegal; Just wanted to say thanks for restoring hope and a positive direction in my life. I was about 30 lbs overweight when I started the diet. I exercise regularly but always found it impossible to control my weight. I averaged a two pound per year weight gain for the past 20 years. My cholesterol and blood sugar were starting to become dangerously high. Since starting the diet two months ago, I am down over 20 lbs. have slightly less than 10 to go and have witnessed major declines in cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure. Thanks so much, I really couldn't have done it without you.
Kerry, White Plains, NY, United States, October 11 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You've made my day, Kerry! Now, a word of caution. It isn't uncommon for people who are at your stage of weight loss to "take a break" from their diet, to "reward" themselves by eating excessively. AVOID THAT TRAP! In my experience, people who fall off the wagon before reaching their goal will gain back most of the weight they lost before they are motivated to resume their diet. So don't stop. Keep going and reach your goal.

have been on the diet for the past 2 weeks have lost about 6 lbs .. I like it because it control my hunger.. use only about 3 a day LOVE IT.. bought the cookies at your store in Beverly Hills,Ca the girl was super nice and explain it to me and let me try different ones
Cynthia, Los Angeles, CA, United States, September 30 2009

THANK YOU!!!! I went on your diet to try and eliminate the 5 lbs I put on while in Disney World. One week & it worked like magic!!!!! I love your cookies, will continue to use them & will certainly recommend them to others. thank again.
Susan, Egg Harbor Township, NJ, United States, September 30 2009

hi doc down 42 lbs since I started your great diet. Even on weekend when I have dinner out with my daughter I still eat maybe a small salad and don't even finish that I average 3 to 4 cookies a day and thats fine for me. thanks doc
Milton, West Palm Beach, FL, United States, September 29 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're very welcome, Milton. Make sure that you eat at least 1,000 calories a day and that you have your doctor advise you as to the exact number of calories you should have each day.

i tried only 1 cookie last monday from a friend. i ate the cookie at 2pm and drink plenty of water. i didn't feel hungry until i got home at 7pm which made me eat only a piece of chicken leg that night. after that 1 day incident i decided to check the cookdiet website. i was so surprise with all the testimonies and i really saw my friend lose weight by just having a cookie.but my problem ordering is $$$. this afternoon while reading the fan mail i decided to refer a friend. thinking i will take advantage of the discounts in referring a friend. after 10 mins my friend called me up and ask me about the email. i explained it to her.now i am waiting for my 1st box that i will try. with my friends help she ordered 2 boxes (1 for me 1 for her). can't wait to start it. after we finish one box we will order again.just in time for our paychecks. thank you dr. siegal. i hope this will work even without exercise because of my busy schedule at work...thank you...
Dona, Montreal, QC, Canada, September 26 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: There's no question that it will work, Dona. If you follow a diet of 1,000 to 1,200 daily calories, success is guaranteed. Be sure to see your doctor first and ask him or her to advise you on the actual number of calories you should consume. As for exercise, I advocate light exercise while on a reduced-calorie diet and much more when you reach the lifetime weight maintenance phase. Again, though, consult your doctor before beginning an exercise regimen. (By the way, unless you buy 4 or more boxes at a time to get free shipping, you'll find it more affordable to buy your cookies in Montreal than online. There are locations in Fairview Pointe Claire, Carrefour Laval, Pincourt, and La Salle).

I lost 6 lbs the first week and have 15 to go! But is it ok to eat 5 cookies during the day and eat the last one a couple hours after dinner?
Cindy, Thousand Oaks, CA, United States, September 26 2009

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: As long as you're not too hungry before dinner then that's fine. Remember, the cookie is for when hunger strikes. As for losing 6 pounds in one week, be careful not to set false expectations. While a person can lose as much as 3 to 4 pounds of fat in a week's time, amounts much beyond that can be attributed to differences in clothing weight, scale inaccuracy, and so forth.

I started this diet on 9/18/09 @ 228 lbs and today 9/22/09 222 lbs, Stick to the diet and drink your water, I am a believer i see results wow.
Gulda, Annapolis, MD, United States, September 22 2009

I started the diet September 5th and in two weeks have already lost 11 pounds and 1 1/2 in my waist. I have tried many diets before, but this by far easier and faster than the others.
Michele, Lewisburg, WV, United States, September 21 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Sounds like you're off to a great start!

I started the diet August 24 and I'm down 15 pounds, this is the only diet that I am sticking to and see results, I have 25 pounds more to lose. Thanks Dr. Siegal!
Stephanie, Sunrise, FL, United States, September 20 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're welcome, Stephanie. Great job!

After 2 months and 3 days, I have just completed losing 20 ugly pounds which is all I wanted to lose. At my age it makes an incredible difference both in appearance and in my health. His was the easiest weight loss program to follow in my life. I will continue with the cookies during the week and eat normally on the weekends to maintain my loss. You should see the difference. Thanks
Marianne, Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada, September 13 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Congratulations on reaching your goal, Marianne! For weight maintenance, I'm a big believer in exercise. Consider asking your doctor to suggest an exercise regimen that's appropriate for you.

I started the diet in April to lose 15 pounds. To date I have lost 25 pounds! I was not hungry with the cookies and they were convenient in my busy schedule.
Anna, Coppell, TX, United States, August 27 2009

Thanks doc. best thing ever happened to me. down 23lbs. this works. starting weight 360lbs, my goal is 200lbs. This will not be a problem with your cookie thanks again.
Milton, West Palm Beach, FL, United States, August 24 2009

I have been yoyo dieting for the last 5 years. Today I finally found the right diet for me - dr. siegal's cookie diet. I did not crave for food and I'm not hungry. I am so excited for the results!
Lyn, Vaudreuil Dorion, Canada, August 20 2009

Today is August 20 and it is my first day on dr. siegal's cookie diet. I have to admit that I am a little skeptical. I would like to lose 10 pounds, and am having a very difficult time doing so. My fingers are crossed that I see success as quickly as everyone else is reporting that they are.
Marla, Toronto, Canada, August 20 2009

Thank you for coming to Montreal. I started yesterday and this morning was down 3 pounds....I will keep on going.
Sandra, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Canada, August 18 2009

Ok I thought it was a joke, I am always hungry, I got my cookies on 8/12/09 it is 08/15/09 today and this morning I was down 3 lbs and ... 4oz that is crazy I am deffinately sticking to this one ............Thank You Dr, Siegal
Noura, Palos Heights , IL, United States, August 15 2009

I have now lost 10 pounds and many inches. I am finally able to wear a shirt that I could not put my arms into the sleeves. I am thrilled.
Jennifer, Angier, NC, United States, August 13 2009

ok so im 20 yrs old and ive done the cookie diet b4 and lost 30 pounds which i was sooo happy about within a spand of 1month and a bit...... and im starting it again today cuz i have more to loose im currently 200 pounds and im supposed to b max 170 so 30 more to go i cant wait :D :DI CANT WAIT
Shoshannah, Montreal, Canada, August 13 2009

Ok so today is the first day I will try this diet. Im so excited but a little scared that maybe it wont work for me like it did for everyone else... I got bad luck with diets. But i'm excited to try this one :) wish me luck!
Jennifer, Laredo, TX, United States, August 10 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: "Luck" has nothing to do with successful weight loss, Jennifer. It's a matter of motivation, discipline, and hunger control. On 1,000 or even 1,2000 calories a day, EVERYONE loses weight. There are no failures at that level. Ask your doctor to suggest the right amount of calories for you; follow any instructions he gives you; and stick to your diet until you reach your goal weight. If you do, your success is certain.

So today is my first day on the diet, I too am surprised at how the cookies fill me up, but just like Robin I too have to watch myself we were picking veggies in the garden and It was just habit to pop a sweet pea in my mouth and a baby carrot I hope it won't hurt my results for today. my goal is 20 pounds I will keep you posted next Sat to tell you how it is going.
Tania, Barrie, Canada, August 08 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Peas and carrots are high in carbohydrates which tend to stimulate hunger. While it's better to pop a pea or two than a donut, if hunger becomes a problem, consider avoiding such impulses.

Ok i am now down 116 lbs so far with only 47 more to go. i got a clean bill health from my doctor this past week he said that he couldn't find anything wrong! just goes to show that this way of dieting is safe regardless of what the nay sayers say! NEVE FELT BETTER!
Marty, Gilbert, AZ, United States, August 08 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: You're doing great, Marty, and you're almost there. I'm delighted that you're dieting the right way by including your doctor in the process.

i just started the cookie diet and am so excited. I lost 2.5 lbs when I got on the scale this morning. YAY. I'm not hungry just trying to stop the habit of reaching for food. Thanks Dr. Siegal for a great product.
Robin , Long Beach, CA, United States, August 03 2009

I started last Saturday, July 25. Today is my one week weigh in and I'm so excited! I started at 215 lbs and I'm down to 207. That's 8 pounds lost! I was skeptical at first that these cookies would keep me full until dinner, but they are great! I never feel like I'm starving. They are also so convenient because I often work long hours without a break. I can just grab a cookie and my water bottle and keep going through the day! I can not wait to see the results of next week. I will keep everyone posted. Thank you so much for having such a wonderful plan that's so easy to stick to!
Krysten, Webster, TX, United States, August 01 2009

I ordered Dr. Siegal's cookies and lost 30 pounds! I have already told a few co-workers who seem to want to try it after seeing my results. Thanks Dr. Siegal
Vince, Sacramento, CA, United States, July 31 2009

I just started my plan yesterday and and am not hungry at all. This feels way too easy and love the fact that I can eat a nice meal for dinner. I'm looking forward to showing you my results when I'm finished losing about 100lbs. My Dr will be so happy for me and I will be happy as well.
Natalie, Peoria, AZ, United States, July 29 2009

I started the diet on July 22nd and I have already lost 7 pounds and at least three inches in my waist. I am wearing a belt that I was not able to buckle in the first hole before the diet, I just buckled it in the 5th hole! I eat whatever I fix everyone for dinner, so if I switc h to a frozen meal I know my results will be faster. The cookies do take hunger away and it is a easy diet to stick to .
Jennifer, Angier, NC, United States, July 29 2009

hi! I started my diet yesterday July 27...i love the cookies ,they really fill me up ...i have a question is it bad to eat the cookies at the same time everyday? I eat one every 2 hrs and im satisfied.
Elyssia, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Canada, July 28 2009

CONSUMER RELATIONS REPLIES: As long as your hunger is satisfied and you are able to stick to the daily calories that your doctor and you have chosen, that should be fine. Just remember that the cookies are for satisfying hunger.

I started the diet the day after Mothers day and in 1 month lost 25 lbs. The fifth week that went up to 30lbs. I am maintaining and recommend everyone to do this diet. Its the easiest out there. The first week I lost 7lbs. Everyone is shocked when they ask how I did it and I reply, "I ate a bunch of cookies every day!!" Thanks a ton for a great weight loss product. No side effects other than weight loss!
Jenifer, Haysville, KS, United States, July 26 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Another customer has made my day. You're very welcome, Jenifer, and thank YOU for sharing your story!

I just began the Cookie diet on 7-24-09. What a nice surprise that the cookies taste so good! I ordered chocolate, oatmeal/raisen, and banana. I can't decide which flavor I enjoy the most. I usually warm a cookie in my microwave for a few seconds and they taste like they're freshly baked, although they're very good right out of the package too. I think this is going to be easy for me.
Kay, Columbus, OH, United States, July 26 2009

DR. SIEGAL REPLIES: Great attitude, Kay. Zapping the cookies in the microwave for no more than 5 seconds does give them a "fresh from the oven" taste and texture. As for "easy" dieting, losing weight is never fun but reaching your goal is certainly worth it. Maintain your great attitude, follow your doctor's advice, and post an update when you reach your goal.

I just order 28 weeks I am ready I have tried everyones diet Dr. S sounds so good I know I can do it I need to loss about 50lbs and I can stick to this its a cookie that in it self is half the battle. I have others waiting to see if it works for me so I am sooo ready lets do it Doctor
Arlene, Arlington, TX, United States, July 21 2009

I just wanted to give an update on my fabulous cookie diet which I am in love with! I started on July 13t
